Commander Ava Munro - A Nice Day, Interrupted

((Bridge - Deck 01 - USS Artemis-A))
Bridge duty. Every ensign longed for a shift on the bridge, until they actually got one. Mostly it was scanning, reviewing strings of data and analysis. Not what you imagine in the academy but Ava enjoyed the controlled rhythm of the bridge. There was a natural flow of movement, and music to the familiar heartbeat of the console alerts and warnings. With MacKenzie enjoying some downtime on the surface of Rylor she found herself in the centre seat for the first time since the CO had returned.
It was as quiet as you would expect during shore leave. Most crew were enjoying their time on the planet, and the ship had a skeleton crew manning the stations and those who had opted to remain aboard the ship rather than go down to Rylor. That mostly meant Holodeck time, couples in quarters taking advantage of the extra free time, and the more reclusive of the crew doing personal projects. A concerning volume of the crew fell into this latter category.
Styles: That's strange.
Ava looked to the young human crewman at the Ops station.
Munro: Good or bad strange?
Styles: The transporter chief report has logged the crew members that failed to return to the ship by their allotted time. The usual suspects, all accounted for.
Munro: Ensign Garlanak?
Styles: Decided to enjoy the night life after the race.
She smiled, remembering the race from earlier that day. Her legs still ached, she may have overdone it but it was worth it, the crew seemed to have had a nice day out.
Munro: That's hardly a surprise, have the chief beam him back and alert Chief K'Wara to remind him of shore leave protocols.
Styles: Commander that wasn't the strange part. Lt. Vailani hasn't returned and she's not responding to any attempts at communication.
Ava got to her feet and moved towards the station.
Munro: That is strange. Maybe she's having fun?
Style looked to Ava, doubt filled his expression. She nodded her quiet agreement.
Munro: What's her location?
Styles: City One :: taps the console :: Near the Kerrit Dromos Racetrack :: more concerned :: She hasn't moved in 5 hours and 32 minutes.
Munro: :: taps Combadge :: =/\= Commander Munro to Lt. Vailani =/\=
Dead air.
Munro: Any SecTac officers in that location?
Styles: Lt. Commander Silveira is 2.5 kilometres away?
Munro: Send him a notification, and instructions to meet me at that location.
Ava walked towards the turbolift.
Munro: Let's hope Lt. Vailani just learnt the value of letting her hair down.
Even as it came out it felt like wishful thinking.
((Several minutes later - Kerrit Dromos Park - City One))
Ava beamed down, and noticed Lt. Commander Silveira immediately focused on the ground.
Munro: :: in greeting :: Commander.
Silveira: Response
Ava looked down to the spot, a solitary commbadge resting in the grass. She looked over at the race track behind her.
Munro: I saw her there earlier, she was watching the race but that was hours ago =/\= Munro to the Bridge. Lieutenant Vailani has been taken. Confirm the location of all crewmembers and all essential personnel must return to the ship. Notify the Captain. =/\=
Ava removed her tricorder and scanned the area.
Silveira: Response
Munro: I'm detecting a fading transport signal :: taps Combadge :: =/\= Ensign Tarsan please report to my coordinates immediately =/\=
The young ensign, whom she had yet to meet, was the engineering officer on duty.
Silveira: Response
Munro: Looks like we've got an active investigation.
Ava looked around the area, the sun was descending below the hills in the distant a warm pink glow cast across the entire area.
Silveira/Tarsan: Response
((OOC: just a fun investigation SIM to show the ships response. This will not result in us finding her (that's a much longer arc) but may reveal some clues.
Due to timey wimey this obviously doesn't affect any other ongoing Sims you don't need to return to the ship unless you want too))
