Gavrin had spotted someone lurking behind a tree, and was trying to surreptitiously point them out to the others.

Silveira: Give me a direction, I don’t see anyone.

Tarsan: Your uh.. three o'clock.

Gavrin couldn't help but nod in the person's direction. Fortunately it wasn't enough to spook them, at least.

Munro: What are you seeing Silveira?

Silveira: OK I see it now. It’s a little too suspicious to just be looking at us and at the exact place our missing officer combadge was dropped.

Munro: I agree but we can't assume what the reason for that would be.

Tarsan: Well, maybe they saw something and they're wondering if we had anything to do with it?

The Ensign watched as Vitor bluffed that he was showing them something, his head tilting as he listened.

Silveira: How about we break and surround him. ::he smirked at Munro:: I heard you're good at a race Commander, what do you say you go left and I'll go right? ::he turned his hand to Tasan:: We kept the easy part for you Ensign, you run straight at the tree and the suspect…

Gavrin was halfway through nodding his assent when Ava stepped straight towards the tree. Well, that also worked, it's true.

Munro: I'm Commander Ava Munro, of the USS Artemis :: extends her hands peacefully:: Please don't run.

The figure seemed to hesitate for a second before they emerged from the shadows of the trees. Gavrin didn't recognise the uniform they were wearing, even as he followed carefully after the Commander.

Man: :: nervous :: I'm Khaled Dharan. I … I am Junior Flight Controller of Rylor Spaceport.

Munro: Nice to meet you, Khaled. We're looking for a missing officer of ours? Is that something you can help us with?

Silveira: Vitor Silveira, feel free to call me Sil.

Tarsan: Gavrin Tarsan.

Introducing himself wasn't a terrible idea, at least, but he fell silent.

Dharan: They wouldn't listen to me. A Bajoran transport arrived yesterday, they had no permit to dock and their was inconsistent data in their registration. I … I filed a request with Bajoran authorities :: nervous :: I had no idea she was a Starfleet officer!

Munro: Her name is Vailani Zoyara. Do you know where she is? Is she still on the planet? You won't get into trouble. I promise.

Gavrin listened as the Commander spoke, trying to pay attention to the way she calmed the young man. He stayed silent for the time being, letting the two senior officers handle the conversation.

Silveira: And we can guarantee your safety.

Munro: You can trust us.

Dharan: I thought they were suspicious so while I waited for the checks to come back - which takes a while sometimes - I kept an eye on their movements. They didn't leave their ship. They didn't do anything. No cargo transfers, no passenger boarding or disembarking. That's unusual. There was something wrong about the whole thing. My boss wouldn't listen, he said it wasn't up to us to interfere. He said we should wait for the request to come back. But when they finally left the ship, I followed them. Here.

Gavrin pulled out a PADD, taking notes as Dharan spoke, making sure he had as much of the information as he could write down.

Dharan: I saw them approach the woman, she was Bajoran too. She wasn't wearing a uniform so I just thought she was the reason they were here. I was hiding so I couldn't see properly but I heard them :: smiles proudly :: Flight controllers have good hearing.

Munro: And what did you hear?

Dharan: They said they were the Kosst Amojen. And then they beamed away. I was too late to do anything but I wasn't sure what had happened. When I got back to Spaceport they had already left :: pleading :: I tried to talk to my boss but he wouldn't listen. I promise I didn't know she was Starfleet or I would have done something else.

Gavrin didn't recognise the name of the group, frowning as he tried to write it down. He probably had the spelling wrong, but at least he had something down. And the others seemed to know who they were.

Silveira: That’s not good.

Munro: Listen to me. You did really good. You should be proud of yourself, your instincts were right and you followed them. If it wasn't for you we would be in the dark. Can you take us to Spaceport, we need all the information you have on that ship?

Silveira: One way or the other we need the Spaceport logs. And we better alert the ship. ::Vitor shook his head:: Kosst Amojan… We never get the easy ones…

Tarsan: Who are the uh... ::trying to pronounce it right:: Kosst Amojan?

Munro/Silveira: response

Gavrin paled at the description.

Tarsan: Oh that's definitely not good. ::pausing:: How do I spell that?

Munro/Silveira: response

((OOC: Just keeping up with this so I don't fall too far behind!))
