((Sickbay, USS Artemis-A))
Genkos looked down his long nose at the man on his biobed. Solas was recovering from a phaser wound to the foot, and the man seemed to be quite down about the whole thing. Genkos had already prescribed him an appointment with Jashkaa or another of their counsellors, and now he was prescribing a physiotherapist appointment as well.
Adea: Make your next appointment with Kafkazet, and I’m sure our physiotherapist would prescribe some exercises for you.
Solas frowned and scratched his chin.
Kel: I didn’t realize we had a specialist just for physiotherapy.
Genkos’ jaw muscles stood out for a moment as he clenched his teeth together - it was either that or take a bite at the Bajoran/Vulcan hybrid.
Adea: You should - they’ve been trying to see you for a few days. Dismissed, Ensign.
Nodding Solas picked up his crutch and hopped off the biobed.
Kel: Doctor I don’t suppose you could give me some low level painkillers? The pain isn’t too unmanageable but it does make falling asleep a little difficult.
Genkos nodded and pressed at a few buttons on his PADD, prescribing the man a rather weak painkiller that also contained a very mild sedative.
Adea: No problem - ask your replicator for Kel Prescription One Oh One before you go to bed, and it’ll provide the pills you need.
Solas nodded, visibly relaxing a little. It was amazing how many officers were hesitant to admit that they were in need of medication. It was as if they expected Genkos to take them off duty for merely needing a few aids now and then. But as long as it wasn’t affecting the man’s work, there was nothing wrong with the Ensign taking a few mild tablets.
Adea: Right, on your way Ensign, and I will see you at the party later.
The party being Captain MacKenzie’s little soiree at Elysium. She’d booked it out all evening and well into the night, purely for the Awards Ceremony, but it was a wise precaution. Knowing this crew as he did, he’d also stocked up on hangover cures and synthehol purification tablets.
Genkos gave Solas a nod and then headed back to his office, eager to continue with his work. Somehow, whenever he was with a patient, his PADDwork seemed to quadruple in quantity.

"You know, I'm really easy to get along with most of the time, but I don't like bullies and I don't like threats, and I don't like you, Culluh. You can try and stop us from getting to the truth but I promise you that if you do I will respond with all the 'unique technologies' at my command." - Kathryn Janeway
