Genkos had his arm around Kalianna, gently squeezing his partner close to him, whilst gesturing with his other hand in Addison’s general direction.
Adea: Is it me, or is it worse when it’s quiet - makes you wonder what they’re all planning ::he gestured around:: out there.
At this, Kalianna nodded.
Nicholotti: Or even what's out there.
Addison closed her eyes slightly and offered a shrug.
MacKenzie: Something to be said for quiet survey missions… Not that they ever turn out to be actually quiet…
Nicholotti: Somehow I don't think quiet missions would be better than dealing with whatever is coming down the pipeline. Either way, something is going sideways.
Addison exhaled a slight laugh through her nostrils. Genkos shook his head slowly, in amused disbelief.
MacKenzie: ::flatly, with a shared sense of irony:: And we’re once again here to save the day.
Adea: Just once I wish someone else would do it.
Kalianna grinned again, her gaze shifting to Genkos
Nicholotti: So, Risa. And without court martials this time. Any...big plans?
Addison looked at Kalianna insistently, and Genkos pushed an errant curl of his wavy hair behind his ear.
MacKenzie: Absolutely not. The most I have on my schedule is welcoming a few new officers.
She wiggled her eyebrows.
Adea: Although I’m certain we can get some swimming in.
Nicholotti: Sounds about right. I could do with a beachside dance.
Genkos’ eyes were only for Kalianna at that moment, but he could see out of the corner of his eye that Addiosn’s gaze was shifting back and forth between the two of them.
MacKenzie: I’m glad we were able to source a vacation for you out of this mission.
Adea: As am I.
Nicholotti: Response?
Addison stood, smoothing the front of her dress. Genkos inclined his head to her, grateful that she was leaving them alone. Not that he resented her presence at all, but of course, it’s always nicer to just be the two of you.
MacKenzie: I think that Sapphire Wine is finally hitting. I think I’m going to turn in for the night.
Adea: Good night, Captain.
Nicholotti: Response
Addison smiled and hugged Kalianna, Genkos shifting his weight to get out of their way.
MacKenzie: Good to have you back in action again, Commodore.
Nicholotti: Response
Addison squeezed Kalianna’s shoulders once more before giving them a nod and heading for the door. Genkos turned back to Kalianna and slipped both arms around her for a little cuddle, opening his mind to hers as he did so, a total entanglement; physical and mental.
Adea: ~ Alone at last ~
Nicholotti: Response
Adea: ~ It’s so good to see you, to feel you, in person, at last. ~
