(( Intelligence Suite - Deck 8, USS Artemis-A ))

Gila wondered if she would ever get accustomed to the lull after a mission like that. It wasn’t like they only worked when the universe was threatening to kill them - there was plenty of normal, ordinary, almost boring work to be done at other times - but after a tense situation like the one they’d encountered on the Genesis Planet, it certainly felt a bit weird to just go back to the everyday consultations. Granted, she had already gotten a call-in from the counselors mandating her to get a post-captivity session - obligatory and entirely customary for all officers who’d been captured by a hostile faction while in the line of duty - but Gila avoided it as best she could.

Today, her method of avoidance could even be considered commendable!

She walked through the door to the Intelligence Suite on Deck 8, one deck further down than her usual haunts, a PADD in her arms. The working environment in the Intelligence Suite felt a lot like Sickbay - no superfluous noise, and just the quiet background chatter of professionals conducting their business - so she didn’t feel as out of place as she did, say, in Main Engineering or when she had to go hunt down the odd Security officer in the Holodeck training ranges.

She looked around the suite for someone familiar to talk to, and soon located the person who was likely the person to talk to about her current errand. She walked towards him, quietly, her fingers twitching slightly around the PADD. The last time the two of them had engaged in something that could even remotely be considered a ‘private conversation’, she’d thought numerous incredibly rude things about the promiscuous Betazoid. Oh she hoped he’d been otherwise occupied with his indiscretions to notice.

She shouldn’t have remembered the incident in Sickbay, quite frankly, for now, the previously not-nervous Mizarian Doctor was practically trembling like a leaf, as she approached the Betazoid Lt. Commander. She hoped she didn’t look guilty of anything indecent to any of the black-clad strangers in the room.

Sadar: C-Commander Dakora?

Dakora: Response

oO Well, at least he’s not acting in an admonishing fashion? Oo

Not that Gila thought he had any cause to admonish her, of course. She wasn’t the one committing indecencies aboard their proud Ship that resulted in- She needed to stop. No reason to push her luck while in telepath company.

Sadar: Y-Yes, hello Sir. I, uhh... I-I’m here regarding my logs on the Genesis Planet? My understanding is that there’s... ::nervous glance around:: Some, uhh... ‘Doctoring’ that needs to be discussed?

To begin with, she wasn’t entirely certain why certain components to their mission to the Genesis Planet was considered ‘problematic’ to leave in their reports, but she presumed this was an area where Lt. Commander Dakora, given his position on the vessel, was more in-the-know. She only hoped that word usage wasn’t inappropriate for her, and if it was, she’d apologize to Hippocrates once the Wheel saw fit to finally save her from her own stupidity.
