Gnai had been pondering what Commander Adea had suggested, before he had proposed that Gnai take some time to relax. He had mentioned medical engineers, which Gnai would certainly follow-up on later on during shore leave, but that had reminded it of an offer that had been made to it back in prison. Perhaps this offer would still be valid...? It would certainly be better to have someone with proper engineering training and experience look over the suit that it wore every day, rather than rely solely on its own haphazard engineering understanding.

Better now than never, and with luck, Commander Salkath would be free today. Gnai swam out of the tank that it slept in, and into the suit, sealing itself in and taking a moment for the motors in the arms to whirr to life. When the suit was ready, it tapped the combadge affixed to the chassis.

Gnai: =/\= Commander Salkath? This is Ensign Gnai. Are you busy at this moment, sir? =/\=

Salkath: =/\= Response =/\=

Good. He was free. That was wonderful news. Now onto the more important question...

Gnai: =/\= Well. During the mission, there was an offer made to look at the suit. Is that offer still applicable, sir? =/\=

Salkath: =/\= Response =/\=

Gnai: =/\= Thank you, sir. Would a meeting in engineering be acceptable? =/\=

That was... a few decks from here, wasn't it? Gnai was still figuring out where everything was on the ship. Everything actually relevant to its position had been sought out first, and it had a good idea where everything that had to do with science was. But engineering was another story entirely. It had the vague notion of the direction of it, but it hadn't been there yet.

Salkath: =/\= Response =/\=

Gnai: =/\= Good, will be there shortly. Thank you again, sir. =/\=

Signing off, Gnai left its berth, and headed for engineering. A quick check with the computer as it walked to a turbolift informed Gnai that it had been a little bit off - main engineering was 10 decks away. With how loud the rumble of the warp core was, it had assumed that it was far closer.

Gnai made its way through the corridors of deck 15, eventually coming upon Main Engineering proper. Through the various small teams of engineers milling about, it spotted Lt. Cmdr. Salkath, waiting for it. Dodging someone who seemed to be very much in a rush, thank you, it jogged up to Lt. Cmdr. Salkath.

Gnai: Sorry to keep you waiting, sir!

Salkath: Response
