((Recovery Wing – Sickbay, USS Artemis-A))

Hopper: No sexual activity or away missions? Guess I’ll need to update my dayplanner, then.

If Genkos was amused, he didn’t let on. (He wasn’t.) Instead he stared at the reclining officer quite intently, wanting to communicate her recovery needs to her very clearly.

Adea: I’m not confining you to your bed, but I highly recommend staying seated or even lying down for as much time as possible, and do not forget the healing benefits of sleep. However, that goes hand in hand with this. ::he held up a vial:: I am putting you on a course of treatment for radiation sickness and burns, hyronalyn and bolamite, two vials of each a day. Before bed, and when you get up. Hyronalyn will prevent you from getting nauseous and should stabilise your symptoms, whilst the bolamite will heal the actual burns. Do you have any questions?

Robin screwed her mouth up to the side as  if considering any loopholes.

Hopper: I guess I should confirm that I am not drinking those vials – they’re hypos, right? I already self-administer Edoxaban weekly, so I’m familiar with the procedure.

Genkos nodded; he’d seen that in her medical records, along with her prosthetic leg. He’d suppressed the urge to invite her to the “getting legless” club, where the amputees of the Artemis got together and drank themselves senseless.

There were t-shirts.

Adea: Aye, they’re hyposprays - I can leave you the vials and a hypospray for your own use.

Hopper: Actually, I’m due for a dose tomorrow but I don’t believe I can replicate my own supply here on the Artemis. Permission to use your dispensary, Commander?

Genkos furrowed his brow - what was it with these guests and helping themselves to his medication?

Adea: Of course… ::he paused, a wry smirk on his lips:: at least you asked.

She responded with a small affirmative nod before another question popped into her mind, possibly prompted by the smirk.

Hopper: Speaking of which… ::Closing her eyes in mild frustration::  Is there anything I should know about Lieutenant Richards? I overheard your conversation and, while we may be..  ::awkwardly::  romantically involved.. I am also still his superior officer.

Genkos looked at her for a moment, considering what to say. He had considered writing to Richard’s FO, but since Hopper was asking…

Adea: Richards… purloined a few vials of adrenaline during the Borg incident, believing it would stave off the assimilation of his prosthetic limb.

Hopper: Response

Genkos shook his head and held up his hands in a placative gesture.

Adea: I’m not so worried about the theft - more about the judgement of an officer who would hide that from those around him, putting them in possible danger… I don’t want to make an official thing out of it, but perhaps you could have a word with him. ::he let out an easy laugh:: Something to do whilst you wait for sexual activity to be back on the table… or whatever you guys use on the Amity.

Hopper: Response

Commander Genkos Adea MD

Chief Medical Officer

USS Artemis-A

"You know, I'm really easy to get along with most of the time, but I don't like bullies and I don't like threats, and I don't like you, Culluh. You can try and stop us from getting to the truth but I promise you that if you do I will respond with all the 'unique technologies' at my command." - Kathryn Janeway
