(( Rooftop Gazebo - Ana Kersna, Rylor ))
Lieutenant … no, Tamio seemed surprised when they saw Natasha, but had a welcoming smile on their face. For a brief moment she felt like a teenage girl being dropped off on a date, but she closed her eyes for a moment as she remembered to breathe.
oO New possibilities Oo
K’Wara: Well, in that case, how can I refuse? ::smiles at the guest:: Welcome to the table, Natasha.
Silveira: The more the merrier… And…
The two gestured towards an open seat, which Natasha took as gracefully and as fast as she could.
Cole: I hope I’m not intruding. ::slight awkward smile::
oO They’re here for the same reasons you are, new acquaintances. Oo
Natasha looked back at Nadevia and mouthed ‘thank you’ as she pulled her chair in.
Silveira: Not at all, we were just chatting. I really should have updated my… Availability on Starflirt, but hey at least its a chance to catch up and chat.
K’Wara: This is the first Soirrée for both of you, right? How do you like it so far?
Cole: I’m still adjusting to the idea that StarFlirt apparently has better crew turnout than some briefings.
Feeling a little more at ease she leaned back in her chair as the two chatted.
Silveira: And certainly much better outfits. ::he tilted his head at Tamio:: Although to some contentious opinions.
K’Wara: My outfit is spectacular, thank you for noticing. ::flips their hair:: And I do agree. It’s always interesting to see how people decide to dress when off-duty. Though, I can see how the atmosphere can be a bit... Unfamiliar, compared to the usual Artemis way.
Cole: I think I prepared for the unfamiliar part. I just didn’t prepare for how visible it would feel once I got here.
She exhaled the breath she realized she had been holding in.
Cole: Still… I’m here. That has to count for something.
K’Wara: ::raises their glass:: Here’s to taking the plunge.
Silveira: And you're in pretty good company. So I suggest we all enjoy it.
Tamio took another sip of their sparklies, and raised their hand slightly and within a few moments, a server appeared at the table to replenish their drink. The server produced another glass and filled it before she had the chance to ask.
Cole: Oh, ha, ::to the server:: You're fast. Thank you.
K’Wara: ::enigmatic smirk:: Once or twice. It’s always a good time.
Vitor leaned forward and with a mischievous grin as he winked at Tamio.
Silveira: Nat, maybe you are so kind as to solve a little… Diferendo. ::he gestured to his shirt.:: Tell me, isn’t Teal just another sort of Blue?
Cole: ::Sipping her drink:: I’m sorry? ::Raising an eyebrow::
oO oh this sparkly drink is good Oo
Vitor opened his arms with a mocking smile.
Silveira: C’mon you're perfectly safe to be honest… Just remember who can let you take the Tactical station in the next ship battle…
K’Wara: You know, I’m starting to like this betting culture that’s starting to develop on the Artemis. Only a matter of time until someone wagers away their senior staff quarters.
Cole: ::laughing:: Oh you're serious. ::thinking as a smirk appeared on her face:: Didn’t your girlfriend put me on Tactical on my first mission?
She realized she was probably not supposed to reveal that, but she couldn’t help how observant she was. She gave Tamio’s remark about betting a quick thought. She didn’t have anything she was willing to part with, but she could bake things from scratch.
Cole: I can bake from scratch, so I could offer up a tasty dessert.
Silveira: Response
Tamio seemed to consider that for a few seconds.
K’Wara: Hmm... Not a lot. I came to the Artemis after staying at the Academy for 3 years, so most of my personal effects are in storage. Had to downsize quite a bit.
Cole: I only have a handful of personal items myself, that hold sentimental value.
Silveira: Response
K’Wara: I’ll build up a collection to wager away soon enough, though I doubt it’ll be as exciting as a turn at the Tactical Console.
Cole: ::nodding:: that’s fair. Back to your question about Teal. ::looking at her glass:: I’d be remiss to not mention, my younger sibling is a bit of an Art Major. So against my will I might have learned a few things about color theory.
She let that sit for a moment before looking at Vitor’s shirt then up to his eyes.
Cole: Teal is an interesting color because our perception of it varies on factors. Your shirt for example is more of a Deep Aqua, which is on the end more towards the blue end, and if I may brings out the Blue in your eyes. But the Teal on Crashcart… ::pauses to correct herself:: Our medical staff leans more towards the Green end of that spectrum.
Silveira/K’Wara: Response
Cole: Juno is more versed in color theory, and could go on forever about it. I’m just happy to listen to them. I think they're planning on sending me a belated gift after receiving my own personal quarters.
Silveira/K’Wara: Response
Cole: Honestly, I think Juno would be thrilled to know their years of unsolicited color education finally served a tactical purpose. ::small smile::
