((Science Lab - Afalqi))

Munro: Are you both okay?

She surveyed both officers, who had attached the devices to them and both looked relatively okay, all things considered. Things were going as smoothly as they could expect, injuries aside. They hadn’t been discovered, they had managed to locate the science lab and retrieve the devices required to operate ship systems. That was a win.

Which usually meant the universe was about to balance the scales.

K’Wara: No worse for wear on my part, though that can change. Starting to feel mighty encumbered between engineering kits, phaser rifles, Da’al scanners and knockout concoction though…

Tarsan: Good enough to get the job done, Commander. The rest we can worry about when we’re home.

Ava nodded. The true motto of a Starfleet officer that was.

Munro: I can be your arms. Treat me like a tool.

She paused.

Munro: That wasn’t meant to sound … :: awkward pause :: Never mind.

Tarsan: I heard nothing, sir. Let’s go.

K’Wara: ::pats Gavrin’s shoulder:: Good choice. All right, I’ll take point. Let’s find the Sickbay on this boat so we can ensure the Afalqi doesn’t participate in this battle.

Ava followed Tamio, her eyes scanned the area for any more Da’al.

Tarsan: We may need the Artemis’s help to deactivate the ship if we knock everyone out….

Munro: Not to mention find out about this virus that’s disabling the Artemis.

K’Wara: If we could convince every Ship thief on this boat to surrender to arrest calmly and peacefully, that would be preferable, but considering what we know of the lot of them, I’d rather not take chances.

Ava figured that there may be more chances of a summer in Andoria.

The corridors were deserted again as the trio made their way quickly down the corridors.

Tarsan: ::still talking quietly:: Where is everyone? Do you think they’re all up on the bridge?

Munro: It would make sense, and possibly engineering.

K’Wara: Not sure, but let’s count our lucky stars that it is. ::checks with the scanner:: Found it. Side door into Sickbay. ::quiets:: Wait.

The door was like all the others, indistinguishable from the wall. At least now they didn't have to paw around to open it. She hoped.

Pesho: ::muffled conversation:: -ucky it’s not wors-

Ava looked to the others, raised her hands to at once tell them to be quiet and to be still.

Tarsan: ::softly:: Let’s give it a minute or two, maybe they’ll leave…

Munro: Time is a luxury we don’t have.

K’Wara: Response

Pesho: ::muffled:: -ny better?

Ava couldn’t hear full words, it was distorted. Definitely some kind of a conversation was going on.

K’Wara: Response

From beyond the door there was a whoosh of a door opening, perhaps the main door into Sickbay. Was that the Da’al leaving?

D'Hariv: Response

Then there was another voice in Sickbay. More distinct.

Munro: Is there anything we can do?

K’Wara: Response

Pesho: ::muffled:: -ing here?

D'Hariv: Response

When she looked to Gavrin there was a change in him. He had paled and his eyes seemed to be somewhere else. In fact he looked entirely different. His posture, his whole being appeared out of place like someone had drawn over Tarsan with someone else.

There was no stopping him when he lunged towards the door to Sickbay, and it responded.

Munro: Tarsan -

Before she could order him or say anything else, the Betazoid was in the room. There was two Da’al officers inside. Tarsan lunged towards one of them and the other raised their weapon.

Ava aimed and fired quickly, stunning them and they fell to the ground unconscious.

A fight had broken out between Tarsan and the other Da’al female.

Munro: Grab him!

K’Wara/Tarsan: Response

Ava sprinted towards Tarsan, grabbed hold of him and ignoring the pain that exploded in her shoulder pulled him back with clenched teeth.

Munro: What are you doing, Tarsan?!

K’Wara/Tarsan: Response

D’Hariv: Response

((OOC: discussed with D’Hariv writer the actions they would take))

With the other Da’al seemingly cooperating she lowered her weapon.

Munro: Romulan?! So this is what the device was for? What could Romulans want from the Da’al?

D’Hariv: Response

Ava sighed and looked at Tamio.

Munro: Keep your eyes on her :: to Tarsan :: What else did you get from the Romulan? :: lowered :: Your file, it suggested that you had no telepathic abilities?

She felt uncomfortable sharing such personal information so publicly about a crew member but it was a genuine question. Latent telepathy in Betazoids that had no way of controlling them could be destructive.

K’Wara/Tarsan: Response

D’Hariv: Response
