Genkos had been mid-draining his glass, when the world changed. He was no longer in the bar that he hadn’t known, but he was somewhere, somewhere very familiar. Really familiar - it was his childhood home.

And it was definitely childhood - there was a wee baby hologramme of himself in the corner - the one that his mother now had in her quarters on DS224, and a few other of the mementos of his childhood were on display. But by no means all. The photo of him and his father on a camping trip from when he was 8, gone. The model spaceships he made and hung up in the windows when he was a teenager were not there either.

Nor were there any signs of life, not at all. There were no smoking cigars in ashtrays, no unfinished food on plates, no steaming mugs of uttaberry tea on the coffee table.

There was just a confused looking Betazoid in evening dress holding an empty wine glass, and a similarly perplexed looking Edo and a bewildered Mizarian, both in what they had been wearing at the awards ceremony, their new pips in their hands.

Adea: What in the four hells just happened?

Jovenan/Sadar: Response

Genkos shrugged and then he looked out the window - that crewman, Fugit, was standing out in the street and waving. As the good doctor looked, the being’s features shifted every so slightly and Genkos saw who it was.

Adea: CloQ.

The Q nodded, grinned and pressed the badge on their uniform, disappearing in a flash.

Jovenan/Sadar: Response

Adea: They’re a Q with a real penchant for time, and a real hatred of us. And he seems to have thrown us into my childhood home. Circa… ::he looked around:: 2375, give or take a year or two.

At this point, the ceiling shook violently and Genkos ran to a window to see what looked like a Dominion spaceship flying low over the homestead.

Adea: This is wrong - the Dominion never cared about this part of Betazed…
