((Holodeck 3, Deck 3 USS Artemis))
After having a particularly quick meeting of the redheaded officer, Charlotte had a good feeling about Natasha. A fellow girl that also liked some chaos was an open armed welcome.
It wasn’t long before Charlotte had the program ready to go and looked to Natasha with a bright, mischievous smile.
Brexis: You ready for this?
Cole: ::smiling that mischievous smile of her own:: Always.
The door opened and they walked in. Before them was an open dirt field and a bright sky. In the middle of the field was an old runabout, bridge consoles and a variety of other things Starfleet officers don't usually get to break on purpose. Off to the side was a large table. Sitting on top of it was an array of disruptor bombs, fusion bombs, plasma charges, organic explosives and a handful of other big boom material. All of them were scaled to proper specs for the simulation. But if Cole was Security, she knew that just by looking at them.
Charlotte took a step toward the table and stared at the items.
Brexis: Which one of those– ::pointing to the field:: –are we going to blow up– ::pointing to the table:: –with one of these first?
Natasha walked towards the table and dragged her fingertips across the various explosives, like a surgeon picking their scalpel. She picked up her weapon of choice– a plasma charge– before smiling at Charlotte.
Cole: ::turning the plasma charge over in her hand, giving it a testing weight:: Careful,Charlotte… you hand a girl something this pretty, she might start to think you’re trying to impress her.
Charlotte shot Natasha a wink.
Brexis: I didn’t pin you as someone particularly easy to impress.
Natasha set the plasma charge down.
Cole: ::glancing up through her lashes, playful:: Let’s just say you have my attention.
Charlotte felt a small warmth in her chest as Natasha’s feelings radiated towards her. She was unsure of what to say. Thankfully the allure of the looming explosion got the woman back on track quickly.
Cole: ::pointing at it:: I don’t like that console. Seems… judgy. Like it’s questioning all my life choices.
Brexis: ::Narrowing her eyes towards the console and cracking her knuckles:: Not in my holodeck. ::pointing to the console:: You’re done for! ::turning to Cole:: I think we need to use something aggressive with this one.
Their tone change towards the poor console was inherently funny and lighthearted. Perhaps her new partner in chaos would become a regular go-to for Charlotte.
Cole: ::grinning:: Oh, absolutely. Something loud enough it won’t have time to reflect on its mistakes.
Brexis: ::Yelling towards the console:: No one judges my friend!
Cole: ::plucks a plasma charge off the table, meeting Charlotte’s eyes over the casing;a loose strand falls forward and she absently tucks it behind her ear:: Hope you’re fast on your feet, Charlotte. I’ve been told I can be a bit of an adrenaline junkie.
An honest to The Four laugh escaped from Charlotte’s lungs.
Brexis: Here I was worried about you being able to keep up with me.
Without breaking eye contact with her, Natasha checked the weight of the charge and cocked her arm back and hurled it across the field. A beautiful arc heading towards its destination.
BOOOM!
The console was engulfed with the blue and white plasma, throwing debris out in every direction. Charlotte burst out into pure chaotic laughter as they felt the shockwave brush by them.
Brexis: ::Slow Clapping:: That execution was absolutely beautiful.
Natasha gave a sort of cocky shrug.
Cole: Explosions say a lot about a person. ::eyes flick toward the charges:: I’ve shown you mine. ::winks:: Your turn.
Brexis: ::Flexing her arms and almost growling:: Let’s do this!
Cole: Response
She all but skipped towards the table and looked between the items and the field. The door on the runabout was ajar. Not by much, but enough to spark an idea. She grabbed the fusion bomb and turned back to Natasha.
Brexis: Think I can aim this right into that door?
Cole: Response
Charlotte turned, aligned her body and her arm towards the runabout. If she missed, worse case they reset the program and she tried again. Best case, she landed the bomb in the door and the runabout turned into a piecesabout.
Brexis: Here goes nothing!
Cole: Response
She hucked the device, hard and precisely. Watching it spiral towards the field and her target.
((OOC: You decide if she lands the shot or not!))
