Samantha Richards - This is Great!

The two women made their way to the coffee shop, made their orders and took a seat. Sam slowly sipped on her iced coffee and looked up at Jovenan.
Richards: So how have things been going for you since the last time we saw each other?
Jovenan: Missions, research and administrative work have been keeping me busy. You get quite a lot of PADD-work when you’re a department head. I’m trying to get as much work done now, I was thinking of waiting for someone to come back from a survey mission before starting the shore leave properly.
There was something in her answer that made Sam curious. Instead of speculating, she bluntly asked.
Richards: So… Are you dating anyone?
Sam watched intently as Jovenan dropped her gaze to her tea cup, clearly trying to hide a smile.
Jovenan: It’s a… recent change, yes.
Her eyes went wide as she put her elbows on the table and rested her chin on her hands. Looking at Jovenan with a big smile.
Richards: Go on…
Jovenan: It’s a new thing, and also not. We’ve known for some years now, and we’ve had feelings for each other for a while now. We just didn’t know how to deal with them and how to move forwards, so we tried to be just friends for a while, but recently, we decided to just start dating.
The Edo couldn’t hide her smile anymore and Sam was incredibly happy for her. She may have not known Talos for years and their relationship was vastly different, but having someone you care about was such a wonderful and terrifying feeling.
Richards: This is so exciting! You look happy. ::Smiling:: And that makes me happy.
Jovenan: Thanks. It’s all still very new to me since I’ve never been in a relationship before, but Vitor is just so lovely and understanding guy, so I hope it’ll work out.
Sam almost jumped out of her seat with excitement.
Richards: Vitor?! As in Vitor Silveira?
Jovenan: Response
Richards: This is great! He is great. You are great. This is just… Really great!
Jovenan: Response
Not wanting to sound like a bumbling idiot anymore over her excitement, she took a sip of her coffee and gave Jovenan another smile
Richards: We should all get together sometime. I’m sure Talos wouldn’t mind doing a sort of– double date with you and Sil.
Jovenan: Response
