Again CloQ had dragged them away to one of his silly games.
Apparently he chose to get them during Betazed Occupation, in the Dominion War.

Vitor picked up what looked like a chair leg. It looked like a solid wood block, as an improvised hand to hand weapon that would do for now.

Silveira: I assume that our Annoying Friend already talked to you Captain and that it's useless to try and reunite with the others, right?

That's what happened last time. Zie pursed her lips.

MacKenzie: He seemed to have very clear objectives for each of our groups as he dismissed us. From what I know, they’re here on the planet, too, but I would imagine trying to find them would be a futile endeavor.

Yellir: We should still keep a lookout. There’s a chance they may need help, especially considering the stories surrounding the Jem’hadar

Vitor pondered quickly the options. If Genkos or Talos were with them their chances would be better. Unless the new Ensign or Hallia were quite an expert on Betazed, things didn’t look good for them.

But they needed to get moving, swinging the chair leg in the noise he shrugged.

Silveira: Well I say we seek cover, but try and see what is going on. I know it would be safer to go the opposite direction, but perhaps we can have a glance of that firefight and work from there. We should seek the Resistance or any other Starfleet forces, before we can think of planning a ship recovery.

Zie nodded.

MacKenzie: I’m not sure what kind of Starfleet presence we can expect – I would imagine any Starfleet officers were likely rounded up and detained as prisoners of war during the initial invasion. I think our first order of business should be to do as CloQ says – try to get back to the ship and see if we can locate the others from there. I think it would be hard to find the others from down here, but the sooner we get everyone back together, the better.

Kel: Response

Yellir: Agreed. The sooner we find others the better. It’s not safe out in the open.

MacKenzie: Especially not for Starfleet officers. This city was had a pretty significant commercial sector. I can’t imagine what might be left of the shops or other establishments, but maybe it would be worth investigating to see if there’s somewhere safer to hide. …and maybe someone to help us.

Kel: Response

Vitor nodded.

Silveira: Good point. Perhaps the Resistance movement might help.

Yellir: Do our communicators still work? We might be able to use them to pick up some local comms traffic. Could lead us in the right direction.

Vitor looked at the old style combadge. One concern came to mind, would they still be working on the same frequencies?

But he didn't worry much over that. He was certain that Hallia was talented enough to make them work. And if needed be, he would bet his whole replicator recipes that she could jury rig something just with a pocket knife, string, transmitters and a key chain.

MacKenzie: It’s possible. We should wait until we get somewhere safe to bother tinkering with them, though. We also don’t want to risk attracting any trouble…

Kel/Yellir: Response

Silveira: Agreed. ::Vitor turned to Zie.:: So how should we proceed?

Zie waved to the others.

MacKenzie: I don’t think we’d be a welcome sight just walking down the street. Come on. I think the restaurant has a back door…

She led them through the bar, into the kitchen. There were hints of its former use, but also clear signs of looting. The Occupation must have been going for a while now. Vitor noticed a wide frying pan still hanging and quietly dropped the chair leg, changing his improvised weapon.
As they followed Zie he smiled, feeling the weight and length of the pan.

oO I want to keep this handy, for close encounters… Oo

They found themselves in the back area, and Vitor mimicked Zie when she glued herself to the wall. Looking in the direction that caught her attention, he noticed a low flight Dominion vessel. He narrowed his eyes, trying to recall if he recognized the model.
Regrettably he didn’t.

With the air patrol gone Zie peeked around the corner. Vitor slowly walked next to her and
tried to look as well, unwilling to risk their cover he could only catch glimpses of polaron weapons fire.

MacKenzie: This is not good…

Vitor frowned and knelt down taking his turn and looked for a pair of seconds.

Silveira: I am too far to see clearly but that looks like an alpha strike to me. I can’t see any returning fire.

Kel/Yellir: Response

MacKenzie: There’s a shop a few doors up the hill – well, it used to be up the hill – anyway, if it’s still there, we should be able to get ourselves a change of clothes… Blend in like the locals and get the target off our backs a bit.

Silveira: Unless they are hunting for locals, but I don’t have a better idea.

Kel/Yellir: Response

MacKenzie: Well, I suppose the good thing about being back in time is that none of us is old enough to have a Starfleet record yet, so we won’t show up in any database.

Kel/Yellir: Response

Vitor wrinkled his forehead. For a split second he thought he saw some movement in the back. Narrowing his eyes he raised the pan slightly, but the darkness covered most of their surroundings and it could be just an optical illusion.

Or a shadow from the air patrol, that sweeped up high again.

MacKenzie: The seems to come every few minutes. Let’s go before the next round.

Kel/Yellir: Response?

Silveira: I will cover the rear.

Vitor nodded, looking in the direction of the shop that Zie mentioned earlier. And quickly followed them. Keeping a safe distance.
Each of them took a different cover and he was slightly concerned as they spread a little further than he felt comfortable.

He noticed that Kel was strategically positioned between Zie and Hallia, as a good Security officer should.Again he felt like something was moving from behind them
He jumped through a small fence, but instead of moving forward he laid on the ground.

Raising his pan he waited a few seconds, but again nothing. As he looked to the others ahead he frowned and standing up he ran to shorten the distance between them.
Covered behind what a red brick wall he kept his eyes at the back as he muttered to the others.

Silveira: Are we close to the shop?

MacKenzie: Response

Kel/Yellir: Response

Vitor clenched the handle of the pan more firmly.

Silveira: It's the second time I feel like there’s movement behind us.

MacKenzie: Response

Kel/Yellir: Response

Vitor shook his head, he wasn’t certain. And if they had more resources he would suggest they split up, but right now Zie’s plan to get to the shop and change was the best one yet.
If they manage to get in some cover then they could try and figure it out.

Also he could as well be mistaken. If it was some Dominion patrol they wouldn’t likely be sneaking in behind them, and would have fired already.
If it was someone else what was the point in shadowing them?

Silveira: It must be nothing. When we reach the shop we can figure out if someone is there or not.

MacKenzie: Response

Kel/Yellir: Response
