(( Evacuation Zone - Outside Bantlox Colony, Laoi III ))
The three of them had now reconnected on the, admittedly picturesque, location that Gnai had carefully selected for the evac. The colonists seemed happy, and relaxed. She envied them, having to deal with Bim Pend had her the opposite of happy and relaxed.
Vailani: Any word from Lieutenant Silveira’s team?
Gnai: This hasn’t heard anything yet… but this has also been busy. ::beat:: Quite busy.
Sadar: As, uhh, a matter of fact, Ensign Imril just got in touch. They’re, uhh, prepared for going through with the demolition. ::somber expression:: Robbing Starfleet Historical Society of the chance to do a proper excavation too…
Vailani: There was nothing of value on that ship Gila that Starfleet couldn't retrieve in another way. Besides, we can’t very well leave Dominion technology - however old - in place.
Her Mizarian friend nodded slowly, seemingly she conceded the point.
Gnai: What’re the next plans, sirs?
Sadar: Well, uhh... N-Not much? After the demolition has occurred, we have to, uhh, be on standby for a short while - make sure nothing volatile has been released into the atmosphere or bedrock by the demolition, b-but once that’s concluded, we’re free to leave.
Gnai: Sounds good– ::sound of a bit of commotion from across the way, someone yelling for Gnai:: Please, sirs. If you could give this more work to do… ::flashing with a bit of embarrassment, then speaking more quietly:: This does not want to get dragged back into conversations about an ocean-front colony.
Zoyara couldn’t help but smile at the Galadoran - there was always work to do. The Pah-Wraiths only bothered idle folks, as her mother was fond of saying.
Sadar: O-Oceanfront... Colony?
Valiani: Gnai, why don’t you check over the stockpile of rations and the emergency replicators. That should keep you out of their way.
The Galadoran Lieutenant flashed with relief before fleeing off to accomplish the tasks it had been given. Gila looked after it for a short while, before looking back to Zoyara with a shaking of the head.
Sadar: I... I still don’t understand aliens.
Vailani: :: sighs :: I’ve come to expect the unexpected. It's the only real certainty in this life we’ve chosen :: looks fondly :: Except you, Gila-net. You are just always you.
Zoyara looked to her friend and placed a friendly arm on her shoulder before she walked back into the tent to face Bim Pend.
