Jetripar was granting them full access to the Afalqi schematics. As they were heading to his office Vitor noticed a message notification,  and asked for a PADD, which Breys promptly delivered.

Vitor smiled and took the offered PADD, inserting his clearance and password to get access.
He stopped when he began reading the message that Commander Munro sent. He could see that Nan and both Tamio and Zie were also in as recipients.

Silveira: You got to be kidding me….

His expression shifted to a stone cold demeanor as he stepped forward and handed the PADD to Zie.

The Da’al were playing with fire and this was likely the reason they got burned. And stolen.

Silveira: Captain, Commander K’Wara you better see this. I think we found our smoking gun… And it's an engine. Commander Munro found something that explains a lot. No wonder they needed extra power…

MacKenzie: And it's Romulan...

Breys: A singularity drive? Here?

K'Wara: Response

Everyone gathered as Vitor turned to Jetripar. The rabbit was out of the hole.
No wonder the Afalqi was stolen.

Silveira: Was the Romulan Star Drive an inspiration or a simple copy?

Breys: As far as I know, nobody has ever been known to copy a singularity drive before. Even if they somehow did it, it isn’t simple.

Jetripar: ::proudly:: Just because no one has ever done it doesn't mean it cannot be done.

K'Wara: Response

MacKenzie: Were you collaborating with the Romulans, or did they loan you this equipment?

Jetripar: Really, Captain. We control this scenario. We need no overseers.

Vitor closed the message and nodded to Brey waving the PADD in his hand, as if saying “let me hold this a little longer”

Silveira: No Secretary, you need better security.

K'Wara: Response

Vitor recognized the frustration in Zie as she closed her eyes for a moment, pinched the bridge of her nose and took a deep breath in and out.
She didn’t do that funny thing with her nostrils though, but Vitor wasn’t sure if that was good or bad. Either way she dived back to command mode.

MacKenzie: Now that we know what we're looking for, how does that inform what you're asking for?

Breys: ::more confidently:: I’ll need the data on the ship’s nullifier cores, engineering will likely want them as well. The last test is missing data for high energy particles because you were hiding tachyon emission data from the singularity. I’ll need the readouts for the sensors you certainly have tuned to get high resolution scans of that. The accretion disk’s shape and spin data will also be needed for calculating the current stability of the core, since it seems like your other model was barely holding together, as well as any passive temporal emissions it may generate.

Jetripar: There's really no point in keeping anything from you at this point. Your team has paid for all the information you need with their bodily commitment. I assure you, I will provide you all the test results and details your hearts could possibly desire.

Vitor shook his head and resisted the urge to roll his eyes.

Silveira: We kindly appreciate it.

K'Wara: Response

Breys: I expect the full data. The chances of us finding your ship go down drastically if you don’t work with us, and I’m sure we don’t want the Romulans stumbling onto the prototype you lost.

Jetripar: I've already promised that. We have no secrets between us anymore, you and I.

Vitor nodded and gestured ahead, with the PADD still in hand.

Silveira: Good, then we should get going.

Mackenzie/K'Wara: Response

Breys: While we’re on the topic, are there any other hidden singularity drives on this planet we should know about?

Jetripar: Not a one. You've cleansed us of our taint.

Vitor this time really rolled his eyes.

Silveira: At least that’s good to know.

Mackenzie/K'Wara: Response

Breys: And you’re sure of that, a tachyon scan from orbit wouldn’t reveal any hotspots in research labs? You nearly caused the planet to collapse in on itself today.

Jetripar: ::sighs:: Scan away. You will find nothing.

Vitor gave the others a nod. It looked as if Jetripar was coming to his senses, or looking for the political implications.

Silveira: Right now I want to find the information about the Afalqi.

Mackenzie/K'Wara: Response

Jetripar: Please, may we continue? Surely being so forthright has earned me the dignity of providing what you've asked for.

Vitor nodded and took a step to stand aside Zie. The sooner they got it the better.

Mackenzie/K'Wara/Breys: Response

They made their way around the complex, finally reaching Jetripar’s office.
The door to his office opened as he approached and he stepped through, gesturing for the others to follow.

Jetripar: It's a beautiful view, isn't it? It was designed to allow me to see the entire facility. Oh look. It seems to be marred by some smoke, over the hangar there.

Vitor leaned in and frowned. He couldn’t see at the distance, but around there were the other away teams. He was about to make a very disdainful remark, but instead he simply clenched his fists hard as he turned and rested his arms behind his back, almost standing at guard.

Mackenzie/K'Wara/Breys: Response

Jetripar took a little longer on the view, before returning to them.

Jetripar: Yes yes, of course. Allow me.

Jetripar crossed the room to his personal console. He tapped a few commands and got another data slate, which he then offered to the Captain.

Jetripar: Captain?

Mackenzie/K'Wara/Breys: Response

Vitor stepped closer and offered the PADD back to Breys.

Silveira: We better confirm everything we need is there. ::he turned to Jetripar.:: Just so we don’t miss anything.

Jetripar/Mackenzie/K'Wara/Breys: Response

Vitor took a few steps, looking around Jetripar’s office. He still didn’t want to put the Secretary in the clear. But this mess felt more and more like a tangled cotton reel.
Maybe with everything they got now they could find a thread.

Silveira: Is there anything we might find useful? ::he again looked at Jetripar:: I am certain the Secretary will do his best to get it.

Jetripar/Mackenzie/K'Wara/Breys: Response

Vitor looked at Zie and gave her a short nod, raising his eyes as if saying “Let’s get home, we are done here”.

Silveira: I am good. ::he tipped his head to Jetripar and couldn’t resist a last provocation:: I’ll analyze the Afalqi’s weapons when we are on board. Thank you for your assistance, Secretary.

Jetripar/Mackenzie/K'Wara/Breys: Response

Vitor straightened himself as he waited for the familiar hue of the transporter.
He closed his eyes as thought of the first thing he was going to do when they got on board.
A coffee. A strong short espresso.

Because they still had a lot to do.
