Genkos’ pale, slender finger was still loosely pointing in the direction of the Vulcan sat on the other side of his desk. They had a common history, albeit not much of one, bit it was more than Genkos had with moth other people on board the Desdemona.
Adea: Your father… where is he now?
The Vulcan cocked his head to the side, clearly trying to recall.
Kuva: ::shrugging:: Trading with some Breen holdouts near Tartarus V. Their next stop is meant to be Khofla II to help some Ferengi refugees, but it all depends on the way the Shint wind breezes. ::pause:: You have not yet convinced me you are not out to steal Lieutenant Sato’s job.
Genkos shook his head and let out a low laugh. Psychology, whilst fascinating, was not his particular sphere of interest. A healthy mindset was, at this moment in time, a luxury they couldn’t necessarily afford.
Adea: No no, Sato can keep it - I’d fall apart at the slightest display of tears. What we’re doing, right now, doesn’t count as counselling.
Kuva: Perhaps I am too much of an open book. ::begrudgingly coming to terms with that:: I realise I have taken much of your time already, but I want to know, Colonel…what will you do, when we achieve peace?
Adea: Me? I’m just a simple man trying to make my way in the universe. I’ll go back to frontier medicine. ::he smiled:: But yes, we best get on it.
With that, the good doctor stood up and made his way to the door, extending an arm for Kuva to go first, and they headed to the Tactical Science Lab together.
