Bergmen: ::sighs:: Yeah. Right. When we speak here, now and here... ::grin:: I didn’t want to, but I’ll ask. You are a rank, right? Did you hear anything about what's planned after we restock everything and everyone from the station? Anything about our next mission? I ask because there is quite a lively discussion about where we will go from here on the lower decks.

Commander noticed the waiter bringing his next drink and accepted it with a grateful smile. He raised the glass toward Bergmen and visibly pondered how to respond to the question.

Adea: I’m not certain - I believe there’s a few supply runs we might need to help out with, but other than that, I couldn’t say.

Ollie raised one eyebrow in curiosity.

Bergmen: Couldn’t or won’t?

Adea: We are a reactive vessel - we respond to problems. We’re not like some of the other vessels in the fleet who go out and explore, we’re very much rooted here in the Borderlands.

Either Adea had a talent for responding without actually answering the question, or he simply didn't know the answer himself. Ensign Bergmen found it hard to figure out which possibility was true, so he decided to skip that line of questioning and steer his curiosity toward safer subjects.

Bergmen: Ok.

Bergman shrugged.

Bergmen: So, one more thing I’m curious about - what are the usual senior duties during shore leave? Is there any officer you would recommend for a mentoring session?

Adea: Response

Ollie conjured a marker from somewhere behind the table—likely from his pants pocket—and jotted a note on his forearm.

Bergmen: And… What would you recommend to do in the meantime for my shore leave down on the station? I was never on Starbase 224, so I do not know much about local possibilities for the entertainment except what is recommended in the Starfleet travel guide.
