((USS Artemis | Deck 4 | Transporter Room 1))

With a loose plan of attack, the Artemis crew was ready to storm the hastily fortified position that the Desdemona invaders had managed to lock down in the transporter room. Savel knew just how effective a flashbang-like device could be when attempting to disorient armed hostiles inside of a room that you wanted for yourself. However, they hadn't had the luxury of seeking out an armory to arm themselves for such an operation properly. They'd just have to make do with the resources available to them.

Thankfully, lights and speakers filled every room of the ship. Most recently they'd been slowly flashing red and sounding off the Red Alert klaxon. It was time to put them to better use, for the moment. Everyone seemed to be on board with Savel's plan so he instructed the computer to turn every available light and speaker inside of the transporter room into the most annoying thing possible. All it needed to do was distract those inside long enough to let them inside to take control of the room.

On cue, the interior of the Transporter Room turned into the worst discotheque you could imagine. A blasting of whatever horrible noises the ship's computer had in its library while the lights strobed at an incredible rate and intensity. It was just enough to get them the advantage as Savel and the rest of the team came barreling through the open doors. Shots were exchanged between both groups, but it seemed like their plan had been rather successful. Savel's counterpart had been knocked around a bit more by the distraction considering his elevated sensitivity to sound. That hadn't stopped him from getting a shot off in the direction of the team, but it went awry and only added another scorch mark to the wall. Quickly, he was dispatched with a blast of a phaser to his chest, easily overcoming the nervous system and causing him to crumble into a lump on the ground.

Jones: Report!

Filistrien: Lieutenants Sato and Savel present and accounted for, Sir. 2nd Lieutenant Thevn-

Unfortunately, Lieutenant Theven had slipped right through their fingers and out of the door. She wasn't going to let herself be such an easy capture. It certainly fit her profile, and now that she was loose on the ship with Starfleet weapons she was going to be tough to corral.

That was going to be the basis of Savel's own report as he covered the security officers who were not responsible for detaining all of the Desdemona crew that remained in the room. Just as he went to speak, he heard yet another phaser blast. Savel turned quickly with his phaser raised only to find Harry lying dead on the floor just before Hiro called out to them.

Jones: I'm hit!

Filistrien: Procuring medkit now, Sir. 2nd Lieutenant Thevn remains unaccounted for.

The petty officer was quick to find the nearest kit available and pass it off to one of Savel's team. But the Vulcan felt a personal responsibility for this one. So he demanded the kit be given to him. Once he had it he rushed to Hiro's side and knelt down beside him. Being a security officer only granted him access to the most basic of emergency medicine courses. Combat first aid was only meant to keep things from getting worse, not exactly make them better.

Savel: Lieutenant, please do not move. I will attempt to stabilize you, but I recommend contacting sickbay immediately so that you can be treated.

A wound like that to the abdomen wasn't going to be something that either one of them could patch up with the offerings of a first aid kit. While the ones in the transporter rooms were stocked enough to deal with any incoming injuries like the one Hiro had, they still only had tools to stabilize, not fully mend.

Savel quickly opened up the kit and sought out a hypospray first, loading it with whatever analgesic was in this particular kit. He applied it to Hiro before reaching for the dermal regenerator that was inside. The painkiller should be rather quick to take effect but that probably wasn't going to knock away all of the discomfort that Hiro was about to experience. Savel used the regenerator on the wound that had been caused by the Klingon blade but it could only do so much considering how deep the blade had gone.

Shint-Savel/Jones: Response

Savel was doing his best to not even acknowledge his doppelganger who was now restrained and under guard by the security team. He was focused on applying the finishing touches to Hiro's wound dressings. He first put on a bandage large enough to keep the wound covered before wrapping it around Hiro's abdomen, and hopefully, it was tight enough to keep some pressure on it and secure it in place.

Savel: ::to Hiro:: That is the best I can do for now, doctor. ::turning to Xandeus:: Mr. Filistrien, did they gain access to our transporter systems?

Jones: Response

Filistrien: No Sir, we managed to stop them before that. ::turns about:: It would seem that Lieutenant Thevn has made her escape through the Jeffries’ Tubes, Sirs. Recommendations on how to proceed?

The Vulcan did not immediately leave Hiro's side, in case he needed help to stand. It was clear that the doctor didn't have any intentions of playing the role of patient anytime soon.

Savel: Our mission is incomplete, therefore it remains true that we must apprehend all members of the Desdemona that are on board. We do not know where Thevn may have gone, but we do know the possible locations of two others. Olivera is on the bridge, and Colonel MacKenzie is on Deck 15.

Jones/Shint-Savel: Responses

Savel was very much beginning to dislike... himself and was hoping that his alternative self would be removed from the transporter room soon. Thankfully, Xandeus had a similar idea.

Filistrien: Sir, would we be able to use the transporters? It would expedite our containment efforts if we could isolate the hostiles.

The Vulcan Ensign moved over to where Xandeus was and looked down at the transporter's control console. The Petty Officer may have struck brilliance with his suggestion.

Savel: The transporter may in fact be useful in solving our problem, Mr. Filistrien. We can easily transport our current prisoners to the Brig, where they will be contained in a cell. While it certainly makes our current situation more tolerable, the transporter logs may also contain valuable information about our visitors.

Jones/Shint-Savel: Responses

Savel certainly didn't know enough about transporters to be able to extract that kind of data. But he did wonder if something about their makeup might be unique enough for the transporters to get a lock onto.

Savel: ::to the security team:: Call ahead to the Brig, and have them prepare a detention cell. Then place our prisoners on the pads for transport. ::to Xandeus and Hiro:: Should my theory prove true, we may be able to use information from the transporter log to at least locate the Desdemona crew, if not isolate them completely.

Jones/Shint-Savel/Filistrien: Responses

It unfortunately wouldn't be as easy as transporting them to the Brig, because they'd just bring whatever items they had with them. There was no telling what sort of access they had to the ship currently. All of the Des crew would still need to be manually tracked down and secured.
