((Shrine of the Blessed Exchequer, Shore of Kentar Sea, Ferenginar))
As they were transported into a rain soaked semicircle area, they were met with garishly painted and decorated stalls selling items of dubious historical significance and memorabilia. Then came the merchant in fur and a golden headpiece. Clearly he was replicating the indigenous Ferengi of long ago or maybe the 2360s… She had heard stories of the early Federation interactions with the Ferengi, and their choice of clothing.
Ferengi Merchant: Honoured guests! We welcome you to our humble piece of history here at the Original Shrine of the Blessed Exchequer.
The Ferengi gestured behind them, down a muddy path. And there was... nothing. Just trees. And rain.
Jaran: I'm sorry. I was under the impression that this would be some sort of... temple.
Ava frowned, had she been misled by the Ferengi Tourist Association…? Or was she the fool for not expecting to be misled by them?
Munro: I was promised a shrine?
Ferengi Merchant: Of course, of course. Due to the, em, valuable nature of this locale, you of course understand that to set eyes on our past...
Initially Ava was confused until the Ferengi merchant held out his hand. Jira, who was clearly more prepared for the Ferengi thirst for profit than she was, provided the Ferengi with some Latinum.
The merchant grimaced, but gestured again.
A hologram of dense jungle fizzled out of existence, and the muddy path now led through the trees and to a moss covered stone structure with a lot of stairs. Ava beamed, it was perfect. Exactly the adventure that she was looking for, she only hoped the doctor didn't mind a trek up a steep incline of ancient steps.
Jaran: That's beau...
Ava looked confused as she was about to agree with him.
Jaran: Hmm. I guess it's ok. I've seen better.
Ava looked to the Ferengi who sniffed haughtily before he walked off whispering something about Starfleet types.
Jaran: It's your expedition, sir. Lead the way. All I did was hack through the underbrush.
Munro: Rather expertly as well :: nods towards the steps :: Let's see how you fare with those.
Jaran: Response
Ava led the way down the path, lifting her arm to move several trees for Jira to pass through behind her. Once they reached the bottom of the structure she had to strain her neck to look to the top.
Munro: Now this is what I call fun. What about you doc? I hope you can keep up?
Jaran: Response
Ava laughed and then began her ascent. After the first few steps were cleared she realised that some of them were slightly uneven and loose.
Munro: Watch your step :: take the next step upwards :: You ever been to one of the sites on Bajor? My last commission, the ship :: takes another step :: visited B’hala to help with some missing archaeologists. Just before I joined :: another step :: I missed out by days.
Jaran: Response.
