Genkos held up his palm as if to halt Vitor’s self-flagellation. He understood why Vitor felt the way he did, sympathised with him, but he also was Vitor’s friend, and he wanted the man to stop beating himself up.
Adea: No, no, I’m not saying you would be. But she’s going to feel like that - it’s only natural. My suggestion would be to leave it alone for a while, let things settle for a bit. You’re both a bit raw, and it’s only natural we want to wiggle our tongue over a raw nerve, but you have to remember. It also hurts.
Vitor frowned, and reached for his glass, finishing it in just a sip. Genkos was a little concerned with the speed with which Vitor was burning through these gins - he himself had practically forgotten the pint of strawberry sour in front of him. He picked it up and gave it another sip.
Silveira: In short, I am still the same selfish idiot and keep doing things under my terms without considering the feelings of others. ::he shook his head and took the newly served gin.:: Thanks Genkos, but Sher already mentioned that… Almost three years ago in Risa.
Genkos gave Vitor a disapproving look.
Adea: Did I call you selfish? Or an idiot? You’re neither of those things, and I would never say that to you. What happened with Sher - is that Aine?
Vitor took another long sip emptying half the glass. Genkos took a sip of his pint, savouring the taste - it seemed that Vitor was here to get drunk, not to taste the drink.
Silveira: Again not my brightest moment. I have a huge collection of those. ::He raised his glass to Genkos.:: One day I might get it right. Want to drink to that?
Adea: If it will make you happy Vitor.
Vitor smiled and effusively struck his gin glass against Genkos’ pint. The human grinned and drank it almost in one. Vitor leaned back and opened his arms, whilst the good doctor raised an eyebrow at him.
Silveira: I had a crazy idea. Let’s get a matching tattoo. ::He leaned forward opening his hands, as if he was picturing a sign.:: Something like “I survived Frontier Day and all I got was this tattoo.”
Genkos shook his head definitively.
Adea: Absolutely not Vitor, I am not a tattoo fan.
Silveira: Response
Genkos caught the barman’s eye and shook his head slightly at him.
Adea: Please don’t take this the wrong way my friend, but you’re drinking those awfully fast.
