Lux: And Commander Jovenan was in command?
Lori was gathering a picture of the events that unfolded as Tho'Bi described them. She had served on a bridge more than once and understood the chain of command, as did all officers.
Tho'Bi: ::quietly:: Yes.
She nodded, hoping that he'd continue with the rest of the details but instead he placed the glass, with the replicated tea inside, that he'd been clutching to one side and leaned forward.
Tho'Bi: Is.. Is that important? I mean… I don't… I don't think it is.
He sat back. She smiled as a way of encouraging him.
Lux: I'm just building up a picture of what happened on the bridge, whose in command is often important to that :: she leaned forward slightly :: Please continue… you transferred power from the inertial dampeners?
Tho'Bi: ::staring at floor:: I mean to say… I… I still made the decisions I made.
She watched as Tho'Bi moved his gaze away from her briefly to the floor and then returned to her. There was a lot of physical emoting from the Andorian - she nodded to encourage him to go where he wanted.
Tho'Bi: ::slow deliberate:: I do not believe I can… excuse myself.
He attempted to pick up the glass and then seemed to change his mind.
Tho'Bi: ::slow deliberate:: I can not simply put it all on Lieutenant Commander Jovenan.
Lori took several seconds to observe him, and then opted for a change of tact that she felt may be more useful.
Lux: What is that then in terms of emotion? Are you okay to tell me what you are feeling?
Tho'Bi: Response
Lux: That's interesting. Have you ever felt that before?
Tho'Bi: Response
She maintained eye contact towards Tho'Bi as he spoke to show that she was listening.
Lux: It is difficult when you're forced into a very intense situation, on your first mission as well. Several intense scenarios, where your life was in danger. It's going to bring up a lot of emotions for you.
Tho'Bi: Response
