((CMO's Office, Sickbay, Deck 7, USS Artemis-A))
After a brief moment of help from one of the crewmen of Medical, Gnai had eventually made its way to Cmdr. Adea's office in sickbay. It had absolutely no interest in this meeting or this physical - least of all after seeing Cmdr. Adea knock one Romulan out and threaten another - but if this is what Starfleet ordered it to do to remain in the fleet, it supposed it had to follow through.
Gnai: Commander Adea, sir? ::pause:: Is this a good time to interrupt?
Genkos stood up, leaning heavily on the desk as he did so.
Adea: For you, Ensign, always. Come in, take a seat.
With the invitation, Gnai made its way to the chair sitting opposite the CMO's desk, sitting down and bobbing to the top of its tank.
Gnai: Thank you, sir.
The commander moved to replace his mug of... something in the replicator, something which let off steam as soon as it had faded into existence. What an interesting experience it must be, to drink something warm and feel it warm up one's body. No matter what, Gnai was always the same temperature of its water, which it kept at a reasonably warm level. There was a reason that Galadorans enjoyed building their cities in temperate waters, after all.
Adea: Can I get you anything, Ensign?
An interesting question. It supposed that it was a bit hungry, after all.
Gnai: If you're offering... perhaps roe, sir? ::pause:: Thank you.
A dish that it had been introduced to in the first month of its time at the Academy. Humans certainly liked their seafood, and it was glad to find that many of the things that it had eaten back on Galador II had their analogs in human cuisine.
With a bit of a bob up and down, Gnai accepted the small dish of fish eggs from Cmdr. Adea. As he sat down, it picked the dish up, before using its other suit hand to pull open a small hatch in the chassis. With care not to spill or make a mess, it tilted the dish over the opening, filling it with the roe and closing it.
Adea: So, what can I do for you, Gnai?
Gnai: Thank you again, sir. This is about the check-up, as ordered by Starfleet. Sir.
A few of the fish eggs were released into the water, slowly floating up into the mass of tendrils waiting above. They were pulled into Gnai's mouth at the bottom of its bell, slightly visible through its body as they started the process of slowly digesting.
Adea: Response
Gnai: Is this really necessary, sir? Nothing substantial has changed since entering the Academy...
oO It might be far more worthwhile to have the suit checked on, rather than the body. Oo
Adea: Response
Well... it had been worth a try to ask. It hadn't expected anything different as an answer, truly.
Gnai: Will you need guidance on Galadoran physiology, sir? Presumably that isn't standard knowledge...
Adea: Response
