Vitor leaned back and set down the PADD he's been typing on.
It's been a couple of hours since their return and he wanted to draft down his report, while things were still fresh in his memory.
It had been… Well it could have gone worse, and admittedly it went far better than the last time they were around this neighborhood.
And although it didn't tear open the old wounds, as he initially feared, it left that ache that old scars carry from time to time.
Vitor was just glad they were leaving. He didn't know the details from the other teams. What now mattered was that everyone returned safely.
Not that he troubled his staff with regular questions about the last team's arrival.
Well, maybe just a little…
Just enough that Levas, a Bajoran Junior Grade and Shield specialist, replied to one of his “Have the Captain, Commander Adea and Commander Jovenan beamed back yet?” query with the most Vulcan reply.
“Not in the last four minutes and thirteen seconds you asked Sir.”
That made him wait more quietly in his office, but not less anxiously. So he started typing, eventually got word that they had returned and ended up with almost his full report.
He hoped he had given Nan enough time, he wasn’t even sure if she was still working although he would bet on it.
Standing up he walked to the replicator and tapped his combadge. He forced a neutral tone hoping it displayed some professionalism.
Silveira: =/\= Silveira to Commander Jovenan.
Jovenan: =/\= Response
He smiled as he heard her voice and began programming the replicator.
Silveira: =/\= I am sorry to bother you Commander but I might have to steal some of your time. I am finishing up my report and I would like to check on you before doing it. I can meet you where you are and it won’t take more than twenty, thirty minutes tops.
Jovenan: =/\= Response
Vitor smiled as he took out the replicated profiteroles. He had them in a small tupperware style container and went on to replicate some spoons and napkins.
He just needed to find that little pouch he stored somewhere.
Silveira: =/\= I can be there in 5 minutes if you wish Commander.
Jovenan: =/\= Response
He was certain he was going to surprise Nan.
