Genkos took a moment to answer Ensign Bergmen, enjoying a sip of his spring wine and relishing the effervescence. His eyes as he smiled were warm, as he remembered some of the more positive events that he’d been involved with as part of Starfleet.

Adea: You have to remember for every Borg, there’s five hundred wonderful species like the Da’al or the Skarn.

Bergmen thought for a moment as he clearly tried to see if he knew those species.

Bergmen: I’m sorry, Commander, but neither Da’al nor Skarn rings a bell for me. So… I cannot share your enthusiasm for how wonderful they are.

Ollie drummed his fingers on the table while contemplating what else he could add.

Bergmen: Sir… ::pause:: Would you attribute these races you mentioned more to the allure of Risa, or to... the specific taste that some have for Vulcan?

Genkos raised an eyebrow, not quite sure what the Ensign was getting at. But instead of asking, which he might have done if he knew Bergmen better, he decided to hedge his bets, as the humans said.

Adea: I’d say for sure, Vulcan.

Bergmen nodded, and it appeared that the answer satisfied some of his curiosity.

Bergmen: Interesting. I’m more of… Risa type of person.

Genkos leaned back and pointed at Bergmen with one forefinger whilst the rest of his hand held his rapidly emptying glass.

Adea: Ah, what do you mean about that?

Bergmen: Response

Adea: So you’re more the fun-loving type, rather than the stoic, curious Vulcans?

Bergmen: Response
