After such a strenuous experience on Callis, Breys didn’t care if her permanent quarters were private or with a hungry targ, so long as she had a bed. That being said, part of her was happy to see she got assigned with a Bajoran. After so many years studying with them, she had gotten used to their disposition. She was unloading heaps of soil analysis equipment and sliding it under her bunk when Ensign Jaran came through the door with a smile.

Jaran: I see you've found your way to your new home, roomie.

Breys: Oh. Yeah. I just have a lot to unload, I’m sorry. ::she rubs the back of her neck nervously:: Hobbies.

Obviously whatever Breys thought was an issue was not, as Jaran continued making pleasant conversation.

Jaran: It's a far cry from that cave on Callis, at least. And I promise that the locals don't hunt us for sport. ::wink::

Breys: ::she laughs:: Yeah, nobody has fought any squids yet either.

Jaran plopped into one of the chairs. Breys sat down on her bed across from them.

Jaran: Before I get too tired to remember, I should give you a heads up. I will frequently be found engaging in some Bajoran spiritual practice in my bedroom. It is never off limits, should you want to join me, but I never expect it. If you don't intend to join, I ask that you be respectful of that time as it is very important to me. I do typically burn incense and candles. If you have any concerns with that, I'm sure we can get an environmental regulator to make it more comfortable for you. Other than that, I'm pretty easy-going. Especially when both of my legs work.

Breys: I spent a good part of my life on Bajor! I studied herbalism there. I feel like I'm going to say that to everyone I meet. But anyway, that's why I was able to patch you up without making anything worse.

Jaran: Response

Breys's posture straightened suddenly.

Breys: Oh! Your actual point, I'm sorry. Candles and incense should be fine. I've already requested an environmental regulator, but not for them. If it's alright I have a few plants I'd like to move into the room. I can keep them in the arboretum if not.

Jaran: Response

Breys: I do have something I think you'll enjoy though!

It became apparent at this moment that there was something Breys was intentionally placing herself in front of. She moved to the side. A small bonsai Timpok tree was revealed.

Jaran: Response
