(( Primary Sickbay - Deck 7, USS Artemis-A ))

Gila was hardly ever in need of things to stress her.  She handled that job quite well on her own, frankly - signing up for an away mission, where she ended up the most ranking officer by default, following orders to ‘rest’ on a pleasure planet, attending counseling sessions despite her every neuron informing her that this was a bad idea - and as such, didn’t need further incentive to lose sleep.

And yet, this was exactly what had occurred this shore leave. As every Sickbay should in order to function properly, the Medical Department received information on all new arrivals aboard the vessel, so that they may be best equipped to deal with any medical emergencies. It wouldn’t do for a newly boarded Ensign to have a deathly allergy to some specific medicines, and for Sickbay to not be briefed on this fact by the Academy, after all.

Gila was therefore fully briefed on some recent transfers. One was the approved transfer of Scientist Richards, the promiscuous human whom Lt. Commander Dakora had infected with progeny soon after Frontier Day, and the other-

Syrex: Well, Well, Well…. If it isn’t my old friend… Lieutenant Sadar?

Sadar: Eep!

Gila, who had been in the business of reviewing research data coming in from Medical Lab 4, froze up, before slowly turning about in her seat. The beaming Trill Doctor almost made Gila physically recoil, doubly so due to her false summary of their relationship.

Sadar: D-Doctor Syrex?

Syrex: I’m here to be a good influence. I’m here for my check-up with you!

oO Why me? Why always me? Oo

Except for when it was easy patients, obviously, those never found her.

Sadar: O-Oh... Y-Yes, of course. Uhh... P-Please, take a seat on the biobed over there.

Syrex: Response?

Gila walked about Sickbay, fetching a medical cart and the standard check-up equipment, before slowly meandering back towards Doctor Syrex.

Sadar: W-Welcome to the Artemis-A, Doctor... I-I hope you’ve, uhh, ‘settled in’?

Syrex: Response

Sadar: Q-Quite. Uhh... ::refers medical chart:: W-We’ve received your most recent medical chart from the Ronin, b-but, uhh... B-Before we get started, is there anything in particular that, mh, ‘concerns’ you? Or is this an, uhh, a precautionary visit?

Syrex: Response
