(( Quarters 1418 - Deck 3 - USS Artemis-A ))

Storm: Sorry, I was talking to myself.  No.  I don’t plan to haul any cargo either way.

There it was--the offending sweater!  Bending down, she picked it up, folded it, and slid it into her duffel.

Storm: I can bring back some Betazoid chocolate, though, right?  A few bars aren’t considered cargo, are they?

Her voice called from the other room.

Bergmen: Chocolate is permitted without any restriction, Lieutenant, but only in volume for personal consumption. But if you would bring some liquors and or spirits, without reporting, you have the right to bring one liter of any volume over 15 ABV, or two liters of liquors and spirits under 15 ABV - and under that falls the synthehol liquors and spirits too, ok? (beat) Or any combination of those two.

Storm: No booze!  Got it!

Alex grabbed her toothbrush and her hairbrush.

Storm:  Shouldn’t be a problem.

She returned to her bag and slipped those into a zippered compartment on the end.

Bergmen: What is not permitted without previous permission are organic products - like cheeses - without certification, medicines, animals, cultural heritage items et cetra. I will upload that list to your shuttle databank to be sure, ok?

Alex grabbed two recent PADDS.  There was a pause.

Storm: List uploaded to the databanks?  Okay.  I’ll check it if we get into a tangle.

Bergmen: Looks like we have everything done, just waiting for you to fill with the OPS Center under your officer’s authorization. Anything more you would like to know, or wanna to ask?

Storm: What about children?  What if I brought one of those back?

Bergmen:  Response

Alex stood in the middle of her bedroom, hands on her hips, eyes darting this way and that as she mentally ticked off items that might be required for her trip.

oO Definitely a knife, since I’ll be off the ship. Oo

Storm:  Well, maybe I’ll get lucky.

She headed to the drawer where she kept her knife hidden.  Her hand hovered in front of it.

oO Hmmm…Maybe I’d better replicate one when we get to Betazed. Oo

Her hand fell back to her side.

Bergmen:  Response

Alex slipped her duffel over her shoulder and finally emerged from her bedroom.

Storm:  Not that kind of lucky, Lieutenant!

Bergmen: Response

Storm: You said that you needed me to file this with OPS?  Where do I put my thumbprint?

Bergmen: Response
