Genkos shook his head and waved a hand absently, even as the tears of laughter brimmed at his eyes. He had quoted some human proverb at Gila but she hadn’t understood what it had meant, but then again, neither did he really.

Adea: No idea, but it sounds great.

That comment did manage to elicit the slightest smile from Gila as she nodded slowly.

Sadar: As you say, Sir. And thank you again. ::slowly rises:: I’ll, uhh... I’ll make sure to leave my station here in order before heading planetside. If the situation here on the Artemis deteriorates-

Genkos gave her a warm nod as he saw that Gila was wrapping up.

Adea: You’ll be the first to know, Lieutenant.

Sadar: O-Of course. ::shuffles anxiously:: I, uhh... I’m glad you made it through in one piece, Commander.

Genkos smiled at her enthusiastically before picking up a PADD.

Adea: And the same to you, Gila.

Gila nodded slowly, before giving him a long look. Genkos turned his attention to the PADD, feeling that perhaps Gila was processing something that it wasn’t for him to know. At least not yet.

Sadar: Thank you, Sir.

And then, Gila turned about and exited the CMO’s office. As soon as the doors whooshed closed, Genkos smirked to himself and slowly shook his head. She was, as the humans might say, an odd duck.
