((Counselor’s Office - Deck 7, USS Artemis-A))
Standing awkwardly outside the Counselor’s makeshift office on Deck 7, Solas pressed the the button and waited for the reply.
Vhysa’lia: Enter!
The door slid open and Solas tentatively took a step inside. Although the interior of the Counselor’s office was more comfortable looking than sick bay, it carried an air of undeniable similarity. Both spaces were designed for healing he supposed, so there would be similarities. He saw the Counselor sitting behind her desk.
Kel: Erm, hello counselor.
She got up from where she was sitting behind the desk, nodding to him as he came in. They gestured to the seat in front of them, with a genuine smile on their face.
Vhysa’lia: Please, ensign. Feel free to have a seat, and we can get started. ::sitting back down, folding her hands over a PADD in her lap:: My name is Vhysa’lia. You can address me as Counselor, or by my name, whichever you prefer. ::pause:: May I call you Solas, or would you prefer Kel?
Solas looked a bit awkward but managed to make his way to the chair the counselor had indicated.
Kel: Solas is fine Counselor, we’re not really on duty anyway and if you’re, well, my counselor I suppose you’ll be learning a lot about me.
She nodded, then noted his preference down on her PADD.
Vhysa’lia: So, what brings you here today - aside from Commander Adea?
Solas felt some of the blood rush to his face. Commander Adea had asked, almost ordered, him to come and that was the primary reason he was here. However, he decided to be honest. She was his Therapist afterall, what was the point in lying?
Kel: Commander Adea has cleared me fit to return to duty. I’m going to pick up some shifts while everyone else is on sick leave. But I mean…well I guess just because you’re not showing symptoms doesn’t mean there isn’t anything there, right?
Vhysa’lia: Response
Solas reached up and nervously scratched the back of his head.
Kel: Right, um, I suppose so.
Solas blew out his cheeks and patted his knees nervously as he waited for the questioning to begin. Honestly this was his least favorite part of the healing process. He wished there was just an injection he could take.
Vhysa’lia: Response
Kel: Well um, yes that’s right. I have no specific memories whatsoever of the time I spent as a drone. Commander Adea says this is highly unusual but I mean, well considering what the collective may have done on the ship, that’s a good thing isn’t it? Just the trauma of assimilation to unpack.
Vhysa’lia: Response
