OOC: I am sorry but I made a mistake in the last sim.
I used your character's first name, instead of the family name, which is the correct form.
I have rectified this now.

((Burger Nagus, Deck 227/228, Deep Space 224 ))

Vitor joined a new Ensign and offered his help.

Silveira: Well, in Starfleet we take care of our own. I understand if you don’t accept my assistance, but I had to offer it. I am Vitor Silveira, USS Artemis Chief Tactical Officer. ::he gestured to his uniform:: Don’t let this fool you, we are on shore leave so you can call me Sil or Vitor.

Tarkin: Aye sir!--

The nervous new Ensign took some time to adjust.

Tarkin: Sorry, sir er--sorry! Sil. :he smiles, the pointed ends of his teeth jutting up and down like spikes from behind his friendly expression: I'm also on the USS Artemis. :he relaxes and sits down with a sheepish expression: My name is Tarrik Tarkin, I'm the new engineer assigned to the ship. A new Slug-O-Cola would be nice but I'll survive.

Vitor’s smile widen and he leaned back in his seat

Silveira: Really? Nice. Then welcome aboard. One more reason to help a ship comrade.

Tarkin: Thanks! I appreciate it sir, er Sil.

Vitor smiled and stood up.

Silveira: C'mon let's get you that Cola.

Tarrik waited for him to stand and followed him back to the drink area and handed him the cup.
Vitor took the order Tarrik wanted and gave him back his cup.

Vitor was curious, Tarrik was definitely Rodulan, a simple deduction taken from his black eyes. He served with one on the Juneau, Doctor Karise Indobri. But his teeth were sharpened, like the Ferengi used to do.

That would explain his preference for the place.

Tarkin: Sorry. :what was he apologizing for?: But just so you know I actually studied quantum physics and quantum torpedoes at the Academy, as well as ship weaponry systems and of course photon torpedoes and phasers, but those were required engineering credits. The quantum torpedoes class was an elective though!

Vitor smiled at the young Ensign eagerness, and he understood Tarrik wanting to shift the conversation to a familiar topic.

Silveira: Good. It’s good to have Engineers that are well versed in ships weapons systems.

Tarkin: Plus I also wrote a paper on weaponized transporter applications–

Vitor hold up his hand, gesturing to Tarrik’s face, were a drip was seen.

Silveira: Good, good, but hold your enthusiasm. And you got a smudge dripping in your face.
Tell me what do you think of the ship? I know you only likely saw corridors, the bridge and the ready room, right?

Tarkin: Response

Vitor raised an eyebrow, then the other. And finally wrinkled his forehead. It looked like he had grown instant Klingon ridges.

Silveira: What the… You haven’t reported in?

Tarkin: Response

Vitor closed his eyes and face palmed himself.

oO What are they teaching graduates now? Am I that old that I can say “back in my day we were to report to our posting immediately on arrival?” Oo

Vitor took the cup from Tarrik’s hand and set it aside at the nearest table.

Silveira: Let's go kid. And consider yourself lucky your wearing Engineer Gold, if you were one of mine and I found you out here I would be giving you a dress down so hard your ears would be burning until next year. And I am the cool Department Chief.

Vitor began to walk out, shaking his head.
In that moment he felt old…

oO Damn kids… Not even I pulled a stunt like this… Oo

Tarkin: Response
