Yellir: Hey— I’m allowed to window shop. But I have been far too busy to indulge in maintaining a relation—tionship like that. Also, I don’t think it would be appropriate for me as a Department Head.

Laying on her side, Hallia supported herself with an elbow. She fought down the urge to hiccup as Genkos shared a bewildered expression between the three.

Adea: Like me and Talosh aren’t? He’s the FO by the four!

Picking up her drink, she awkwardly tipped the glass, barely angling it to her mouth. She downed the remainder like a shot before very sceptically narrowing her eyes. Hallia toyed with the glass before letting it fall and bury itself into the dirt.

Dakora: If HE ::He swung his arm out to point at Genkos and very nearly upset his precarious position on the log.:: Can date a Commodore for YEARS, I think you can break a piece off for yourself here and there.

The Yelikan's eyes gave a lazy stare into the campfire

Yellir: What if it juussht isn’t for me?

Adea: Ouch! Look, I think we can all agree that everyone ish entitled to love - even ush.

Hallia wasn’t really one to indulge in encounters. But even in her stupor, she was beginning to see the perspective of her Betazoid colleagues somewhat. Odd yet still, she had hardly recognised that love, or whatever more was a luxury she could finally afford to indulge in. Before now, before Starfleet, it had been the last thing on her mind.

Dakora: Yeah! Chief Engineers and Chief Doctors and… whatever I am. ::He lost his train of thought for a second.:: All, um... secretly lovable.

Yellir: Maybe you’re right, maybe we’re all loveable. Even Cshief XO’s.

A dull pain reared its head as the Yelikan felt everything spin. She massaged one temple hoping to find relief.

Dakora: Ugh. I’m tired. ::He lifted his head slightly.:: Did anyone see where the door went?

Hallia clapped her hands twice.

Yellir: Computer… arcsh

…Nothing happened.

Adea: Response?

Lazily, Hallia once again laid down on the log, weighing her head in the space between her biceps and forearm.

Dakora: Never mind, I’ve got this.

With that, he tapped his badge.

Dakora:=/\= Dakora to Artemis, I’ve got ::He counted on his fingers:: One, two, three for site-to-site transport. Uh, Please. Oh, and uh, thank you. =/\=

She fell onto her back, draping an arm over her eyes.

Yellir: Make sure they don’t ask a thing.

Adea: Response?

The solid surface that curved her back slipped away. For a moment she felt weightless, watching the scenery and the campfire light begin to fade. Hallia’s bed whispered for her, even now. Her eyes grew heavy, distantly aware of where she was.

Every image that flickered between her return to the Artemis and ending up back in her quarters seemed to bleed together. But, alas, she woke up the next day with a heavy sleeping form weighing on her ribs. A face full of red-tipped fur later, Aster, Hallia’s cat had once again found a comfy, yet inconvenient spot to rest his head.
