LtCmdr. Talos Dakora - Walk the Walk

Talos let out a centering breath as he settled back into his high-backed chair. Maybe he wasn’t Yogan or Addison MacKenzie, but he thought he’d done a decent job of talking the Mizarian Doctor down off the professional ledge.

For now, at least.

Dakora: I’d like for you to make time to see Counselor Jashkaa, as well. ::He frowned.:: I know Hiro is gone, but I’ve heard nothing but good things about her from other members of the crew.

Then again, maybe he’d congratulated himself too soon. Something about the suggestion that she visit the Counselor seemed to rub her the wrong way. It was subtle, but the roiling discomfort in the room was hard to miss.

Sadar: ::pause:: I, uhh, suppose I can’t very well disagree with the need for counseling. You know, considering- ::waves her hands to indicate their current situation::

He nodded, a knowing look hid his relief at her compliance.

Dakora: Oh, I know. Trust me.

Gila nodded, before rising to her feet just a little unsteadily.

Sadar: ::clears throat awkwardly:: W-Well… Uhh… I-I suppose I’ll, uhh, excuse myself then, Commander. S-Sorry for taking your time.

He stood as well, tipping his just a little in a sort of parting bow. 

Dakora: No apologies necessary. ::He smiled– genuinely this time.:: I’m here to support the crew. Enjoy your Shoreleave, Doctor Sadar.

She began moving toward the door but after a few steps paused and turned back toward him.

Sadar: Ah. ::turns about:: I realize that there is ‘no evidence’ of the ordeal we all went through, but if you’ll take the advice of a ‘valued’ medical officer, Sir? Considering the ordeal that you went through, I suggest getting a check-up regardless. Violent incidents leave as much of a physical toll as it does a mental one.

His eyes narrowed, just a little as he nodded with a smirk.

oO Well played, Lieutenant. Oo

Dakora: Thank you Doctor, I’ll be sure to make time for an exam. ::He cocked his head just a little.:: It won’t hurt to lead by example.

With a final parting grin as she departed, Talos found himself alone in his office once more. 

His work for the day was done and he finally had a little personal time. The question was, what was he going to do with it?
