((USS Artemis-A - Deck 3, Quarters 1785))
Tho’Bi: I (beat) I am here to check the en- (beat) the en- (beat) the environmenta-
Vailani: I’m more than capable of changing the thermometer in my own room.
After what was, to say the least, a very awkward encounter the ensign who she recognised from the even more uncomfortable encounter with the disgraceful Ral Shaw.
This Andorian really enjoyed making less than impressive impressions. More to abate the awful awkwardness of the entire situation she buffed.
Vailani: Very well.
As she stepped aside she couldn't resist yet another eye roll.
The ensign stood in the center of the Lieutenant’s quarters; he looked about nervously, his eyes fell on a Horg'ahn; an entire shelf to itself.
She blushed a little and was almost tempted to throw the blanket she still held in her hand over it.
Tho’Bi: Oh ::gestures at the Horh’ahn:: y-you have a Ho-rah-aah-uun (beat) on display (beat) in your quarters ::finally looks at Vailani:: and I-I’m talking about it (beat) out loud (beat) (beat) Oh ::looks down at deck:: I need to lie down.
Before Zoyara could even begin to explain the extremely tall Andorian done the last thing she expected him to do and lay down on her floor.
Vailani: Wha- Are you okay?
Instinctively she leaned over him and then she flicked her head to the horg’ahn and back to him.
Vailani: What in the Prophets did you think was going to happen ensign?! It's a decorative item not an invitation to … lay on my floor?!
Tho’Bi: Oh! ::sits up:: I’m not ly-lying down ::gestures at the Horh’ahn:: This is not (beat) not (beat) not a fer-fertility (beat) thing ::perplexed:: ::stands up:: I get anxious (beat) Laying down h-helps. ::struggling to make eye contact with Vailani::
Zoyara leaned over, carefully, like a bird of prey swooping down on its unsuspecting meal for the day.
Vailani: I think you should stand up before I drag you out of here by your antennae Ensign. Is that clear?
Tho’Bi: Response
She let out a frustrated sigh and then offered a reluctant hand to help the ensign up. Which she sincerely hoped he would take.
She had never quite met someone this … socially inept. He'd even make Gila look like a distinguished diplomat.
Vailani: Can we get back to checking the environmental controls - quickly?
Tho’Bi: Response
She shook her head as if to let him know that she'd rather not talk about it. It was already awkward enough without further discussion. In the hopes that he'd take the hint she was eager to keep the subject solely on the purpose of his visit.
Vailani: The temperature does seem a bit off in here.
Tho’Bi: Response
