(( Hydroponics Bay - Deck 9, USS Artemis-A ))

Tamio’s leg started twitching slightly. Now that they were certain that they’d impressed upon D’tin the extreme necessity of her leaving Hydroponics and actually going to enjoy all that Rylor had to offer, they were eager to get going on their own errand, but it was clear that D’tin was grasping, trying to determine what to actually do. They guessed it was too much to expect her to know inherently how to relax, if her idea of ‘relaxing’ had been to immediately go and gather more scientific samples.

The solution was obvious.

K’Wara: You’re welcome to join me. I’d appreciate the company. Though, ::looks pointedly at their own outfit:: you’re not quite dressed for it yet.

It wasn’t said with any ridicule or anything. It was just fact. Wearing a Starfleet uniform was no way to relax properly, and Tamio would stand by that opinion until the end of time. D’tin gave Tamio an elevator look as she exited Hydroponics and Tamio stood up straight, spreading their arms to afford her a better look.

Breys: I think I have an idea. Let’s make a quick stop at my quarters.

Tamio had to physically stop themself from making a joke on the nature of ‘first dates and being brought home immediately’, but they figured they knew enough of D’tin Breys to be able to assume that joke would not have the intended effect, at all.

(( Jaran Jira & D’tin Breys’ Quarters - Compartment 0311, Deck 5, USS Artemis-A ))

Arriving at the Ensign Quarters of D’tin and - looking at the nameplate by the door - Doctor Jaran, Tamio shuffled inside as D’tin rushed towards another door. They looked around the quarters, cursory interest, as they heard D’tin talk at them from the other room.

Breys: What separates a traveling gallery from a nomadic gallery?

K’Wara: It differs depending on the cultural interpretation of the artists, but - in general - traveling galleries is a pre-built venue that travels, while a nomadic gallery uses venues wherever they end up to display their art.

Tamio rather preferred nomadic galleries - how artists chose to use a pre-existing canvas in the form of the venue to display their art told just as much of their artistic vision as the actual artworks themselves - but they’d visited both types and found value in them. D’tin didn’t respond to Tamio’s explanation, so Tamio just waited for her to finish her beautification ritual.

And quite the beautification it was. When D’tin rejoined them, she was dressed in a knee-length skirt, white tank and short black jacket. Far too few colors, in Tamio’s ‘humble’ opinion, but the green was an excellent choice, and her makeup (though subdued) allowed her magnificent curls to take center stage. Though the clear awkwardness with which she posed, awaiting their assessment, made it clear that she didn’t feel ‘at ease’ with styling.

Tamio applauded her efforts.

K’Wara: You look very fetching! I like the skirt.

Breys: It’s not great like your outfit, but I tried to match the “feel”.

With a flourish, Tamio struck a pose, having never been able to let a compliment on their style go unanswered.

K’Wara: It takes copious amounts of practice to look this good, D’tin. ::winks:: But you’re well on your way. ::blinks:: Oh?

They hadn’t noticed the sweet little daisy stamp under her eye before, and it quite derailed their line of thought for a good few seconds. That no doubt didn’t help with D’tin’s awkwardness.

Breys: Well. Unless I'm breaking any cultural guidelines with my outfit. Do we need to head down to the planet then?

K’Wara: Hm? Oh no, certainly not, you look great. Sorry, I only just noticed the stamp. oO I should like something like that... I should consider designs. Oo All right, let’s head off. We should still be there in time for opening!

(( Corfyri Public Park - City One, Rylor ))

As the transporter sheen dimmed and Tamio’s full senses once again took in the world around them, they looked around with an excited expression that they couldn’t quite contain. The Public Park looked, for all intents and purposes, like any other public park throughout the Quadrant, with a play area for children to enjoy themselves, an area filled with stone constructs of varying sizes and shapes that no doubt filled some sort of undisclosed community function and a sizable green area with trees and flowerbeds that framed in the park.

The physical environs of the park gave no inclination that anything strange was about to happen. The amount of people, though, was a different matter entirely. Families still enjoyed the park like usual, children enjoying the playground with not a care in the world, but a conspicuous amount of people seemed to hover around the area, waiting for some sort of signal.

Breys: Response

K’Wara: ::slight smile:: We’ll see in a moment, I’m sure.

Then, a shimmer passed overhead and Tamio looked up. The sky above - previously deep blue - rippled in a marvelous shower of color as purples, greens and oranges passed over the sky, and then, the crowd seemed to move with intention. Everywhere around them, mobile holo-emitters disengaged, revealing beautiful artworks that would have previously been rendered invisible, and Tamio smiled, bumping their shoulder slightly into D’tin.

K’Wara: There we go.

Breys: Response

The vast lawn to their left was suddenly filled with sculptures and floral arrangements, the concrete area to their right was suddenly colored not in the dull grey of their material, but in an explosion of colors and patterns and even sounds, as musical installations started spreading lilting melodies through the air. The children, who’d previously been wrapped up in their games on the playground, started shrieking with delight as they started dragging their parents towards the multitudes of artworks.

Tamio smiled at the sight.

K’Wara: Well. What do you want to see first?

Breys: Response
