((Sickbay, USS Artemis-A))

The young ensign stood in a state of suspended animation, like a work of art. Obviously that was due to the presence of two senior officers in close proximity, and the poor Ensign was such a new face, both in terms of being fresh to the ship, and because parts of his cheek were newly attached by a dermal regenerator.

Adea: Have you had time to have a tour of the ship, yet Ensign?

Tho’Bi: No, Sir. I beamed up and came here straight.

MacKenzie: ::nodding:: Probably the right decision. Do you have your orders somewhere?

The Andorian swiveled around on his heels and scooped up the PADD he had left sitting on the biobed behind him. He handed it to Addison, and Genkos studied his face as Addison read it. His antennae twitched to the various bips and thumps of the sickbay, and Genkos pursed his lips - an attentive officer.

MacKenzie: Well it seems everything is in order here… ::handing the PADD to Genkos:: I suppose you can sign off on your portion of this.

Genkos nodded and pressed his thumb to the appropriate part of the PADD, signing off on the man’s health.

Adea: There we go.

Tho’Bi: ::nodding at Genkos:: Thank you, Doctor. ::nods at MacKenzie:: Thank you, Captain.

Addison offered a friendly smile, whilst Genkos perched on the biobed, taking the weight off his leg.

MacKenzie: Well, with that business taken care of, tell me a little bit about yourself. How did you find yourself to the Artemis?

Genkos’ gaze flew from Addison to the new Andorian crewman - it was arguably the one question that everyone on board had a good answer to.

Tho’Bi: My parents were both engineers in Starfleet. I grew up on ships and stations. Skies are nice, but I prefer Jefferies Tubes :: smiles ::

Genkos smirked, and looked over at Addison.

Adea: What are the twinkling lights of a power conduit if not our version of the stars?

Tho’Bi/MacKenzie: Responses

Genkos pointed at his office door with the tip of his cane, before hefting himself up onto both feet.

Adea: My office is back there, Ensign - my door is always open to you. For now, however, I have other patients to see to, so I shall leave you in the Captain’s capable hands. ::he nodded to the Captain:: Addison. ::he nodded to Tho’Bi:: Ensign.

And with a swoosh of his long, teal coat, he swept back towards his office for more PADDwork.

"You know, I'm really easy to get along with most of the time, but I don't like bullies and I don't like threats, and I don't like you, Culluh. You can try and stop us from getting to the truth but I promise you that if you do I will respond with all the 'unique technologies' at my command." - Kathryn Janeway
