to USS Artemis-A – StarBase 118 Star Trek PBEM RPG
((Security Training Facilities - Combat Mat Room - USS Artemis-A))
After Nat replied Vitor pushed forward with cheer strength and it felt like they were Titans clashing. He managed to defend the swings against his head, but Nat wasn't holding when she repeatedly hit his torso.
But not giving her room Vitor tackled her violently and both of them crashed violently on the mat.
He tossed her aside as he breathed heavily and began to stand up.
Everything hurt but he wasn’t over.
Silveira: I… can… keep… this… all day…
Cole: ::breathless:: Then stop… announcing it and… prove it.
Nat moved in and Vitor countered by trying to get some distance. It didn't work and Nat landed a blow on his ribs that almost made him run out of air. But he struck with the only thing still keeping him just slightly ahead. Brute force.
With two consecutive punches he again pushed her back
Silveira: Your… too… close…
Nat was recovering faster and again she moved.
Cole: I don’t need room to be dangerous, sir.
Nat closed the gap and was now controlling the moves. Vitor was starting to feel that he was going to lose this one.
Silveira: I… couldn’t… tell…
Cole: Come on, Commander. You wanted better. Here I am.
oO I speak too much… Oo
Nat moved straight at him and Vitor was forced back by her move. She wasn’t giving him time to breath or react and he barely resisted her last onslaught.
There was only one more thing to do.
He pushed back and straightened himself.
Silveira: Stand down Lieutenant.
Cole: Response
He wasn’t sure how Nat managed to stop and not hit him, but he didn’t do anything as she dropped beside him.
He was about to give her a nod of approval but only arched an eyebrow and offered his hand.
Silveira: You know, this was the hardest part of your certification. ::he nodded:: Being able to stand down in the next second is a skill few manage to achieve. ::He shook his hand in front of her.:: C’mon you can trust me now… Honestly it took me five certifications to be able to stop at a word's notice.
Cole: Response
Vitor smiled proudly, although Nat wasn’t one of his “minions” he had grown attached to the Lieutenant. She still needed some practice, more experience, and a little less… Dashing… Or cookiness… But Nat was in the right way.
He cleaned his mouth and nose and pointed to the corner.
Silveira: I’ll file up the paperwork once we get a little badged up. Sorry for going a little extreme but I take training seriously, I had more than my share of fights and we always need to be ready.
Even if we have to rub a little salt and push the mental envelope hard.
You did very well. ::he winced as he tried to wink at Nat:: I on the other hand might be getting a little too old for this…
Cole: Response
He laughed as he started limping to the medical supplies.
