((Main Shuttlebay - Deck 11, USS Artemis-A))
Hiro had heard the news that Luxa was leaving about an hour ago. Rather than track her down there and then to say his goodbyes though, he did what any self-respecting nerd would do: research. Now, somewhat more confident in traditional Caitian nonverbal salutations (specifically those pertaining to parting of friends), he rocked on his heels next to the shuttlecraft, awaiting her arrival.
After a short wait, she walked into the bay with a couple other people. Hiro, Sil, Gila, and a couple others had formed something of a send-off committee. Gila spoke first to Vailani, setting the tone appropriately.
Sadar: May the Turn of the Wheel bring Peace to your Path, Vailani Zoyara. ::smiles slightly::
Silveira: You weren’t leaving without a chance to say goodbye certainly. ::he grinned and winked at her.:: Have a safe journey and I wish you the best.
Hiro stepped toward Luxa, getting far closer to her than he would to most other shipmates. He maintained unbroken eye contact for a few seconds (which was alarmingly intimate, given they were close enough to breathe in each other's scents), then blinked deliberately: two long, slow blinks before bowing his head and taking a step backward to resume a human-appropriate distance.
Jones: Luxa, you'll always be family to me. The galaxy isn't big enough to break that, so don't think twice if there's anything you need. Even if it's just a friendly ear. ::with a bittersweet smirk:: Try to not get arrested without me, ok?
Any: Responses
Luxa walked a few steps on, turned, and looked at her assembled friends. Hiro could feel the conflicting emotions within her as she sought the right words to say.
Lorana: ::fighting tears:: I'll miss each of you dearly. More than any of you will ever know, you have changed me. I'm the officer and person today because of this crew and ::looks around her:: This ship ::beat::
Silveira: I will miss you Ana. But rest assured I will keep in touch with you my friend.
She then went to each, wrapping them in a firm, heartfelt embrace which Hiro returned with a full heart and watery eye.
Sadar: The Wheel Guide you, Luxa Lorana. ::brief pause:: And thank you. For everything.
Jones: We'll see you soon, ok? ::beat, then a broad but teary smile:: I can't wait to see what you'll do next.
End scene for Hiro
