((Sickbay - Deck 7 - USS Artemis-A))
Adea: Well, we will keep that between us, shall we?
Zoyara smiled kindly, she was pleased this was going so well. Even being here wasn't as bad as she thought it would be.
As the medical tricorder beeped she couldn't help but look a little startled and dug her fingers into the cushioned surface of the biobed.
She was healthy, right?
It didn't help when Adea began to run the scan down her body. She felt herself become more anxious than she would usually allow herself to be.
Vailani: :: sharply :: Is there a problem, doctor?
She wasn't sure when this Sickbay anxiety had begun … was she always like this? True, she had never enjoyed doctors or nurses. She respected the work they did, she just found that they interfered especially when they tried to pry into matters of the mind.
Which was ironic considering her doctor was now a Betazoid.
Adea: So far, so good. ::his brow furrowed a moment:: Your heart rate is a little high; does sickbay make you nervous, Lieutenant?
Vailani: :: immediate :: No.
She tried to relax and failed, her faux smile became an uncomfortable grimace.
Adea: Response
Vailani: I just feel a little out of my comfort zone, that's all :: reluctantly :: I don't really like Sickbay, I never have. No offense.
She hoped that would be enough to satiate the doctor.
Adea: Response
Vailani: It just reminds me of very bad times but it's not like I'm running to the nearest airlock, I can handle a little trepidation, Doctor.
Adea: Response
