((Operations Center, Deck 5 - USS Artemis))
It wasn’t a particularly fun kind of interaction with Lt. Bergmen since it was all work. But she had got some senses off him that were certainly mixed. At first he felt warm and welcoming, but the longer she was around. The more annoyed he seemed. Charlotte made a valiant effort to brush it off.
Brexis: ::Handing him the PADD:: Here you go. All filled out.
He tossed the PADD into the tray on the table. Unnecessary, but okay.
Bergmen: Ok, Lieutenant, funny part we have behind us… So, where do you want to start, so I can set you permissions?
She gestured to the other seat at the desk and as she did, Bergmen rolled his eyes like a child being told to do chores they really don’t want to do. Again she tried to brush off the indignation.
Brexis: Yeah, if we could give it a look over I’m sure I will have questions as we go.
Bergmen: So, spare parts inventory. Technical Evalutation Report, OPS and Engineering, both. Alertness drill evaluation. Tactical skills evaluation for non-security personnel. Readiness reports, all divisions? Scan diagnostics, four eyes review reports?
A part of her wished she had gotten a second round of Espresso before heading to OPs. The initial “looking things over” was inherently boring. Important. But boring, so she did try to be understanding of her fellow officers' attitude.
Brexis: ::Pointing to a section on the PADD:: How often are these diagnostics run? Does someone go over the scans every time? And is that something Chief K’Wara does?
Bergmen: Let me see…
More annoyance. It was growing with her questions. Maybe she snapped her fingers in the wrong direction that day.
He glanced through the PADD.
Bergmen: So, three times a week, yes, and to answer the last question, you will need to ask Lieutenant K’Wara, as that falls into “not in my paygrade territory”. Sorry, Lieutenant. Cargo Hold, LCARS, and how to build a planetary outpost in under a week, that’s where I can help you. Or you can check with their yeoman. They could know… ::shruggs shoulders::
Brexis: ::Closing her eyes and folding her arms:: Okay, Lieutenant. ::waving her hand out:: That’s helpful.
Bergmen: I can upload you those reports to PADD later, and you can go through them with Chief, if you want…
With a soft, self-recentering sigh, Charlotte nodded.
Brexis: That would be great. Thank you.
Bergmen: Ok, next item… Tactical skills evaluation for non-security personnel…
He opened up the next document and enlarged it on the holo-screen. Finally something she could look at and get an actual firm grasp on. She glanced over the graphs, and tables.
Bergmen: Ah… look, Lieutenant Imril improved this shore leave Engineering general stats up to two points. Good of him.
She watched Bergmens face light up and almost crack a smile.
Brexis: Imril… ::Beat, then tapping her combadge:: =/\= Lieutenant Brexis to Lieutenant Imril.=/\=
Charlotte gave Bergmen a half a smile.
Bergmen: Response
Imril: =/\= Response =/\=
Brexis: =/\= If you are available would you mind joining Lieutenant Bergmen and I in the Operations Center? I have a couple questions. =/\=
Maybe Imril was the key to making the interaction a little less…whatever it was. To be fair to Ollie, she knew the content was inherently boring to go over, but being sassy to her for doing her job was a bit of a hindrance.
Bergmen: Response
Imril: =/\= Response =/\=
Brexis: =/\= Got it, thanks.=/\= ::Turning to Bergmen:: If he can join us and tell me about his points going up that’ll help give me some insight there too.
She sat back in her chair and continued to run her eyes over the holo-screen.
Bergmen: Response
Imril: =/\= Response =/\=
