((The Shaded Roads - Central District Underground, Fereng- Ferenginar))
After striking up a conversation with a very non-Ferengi looking person, Charlotte was intrigued by them and their interest in the art surrounding them.
Brexis: I overheard someone talking about this place. I had to see if it ::looking around:: looked and smelled ::breathing in the air:: like they described. So far it seems on par with ‘dark, musty and the hint of regret in the air’.
K’Wara: I see you read the standard tourist brochures. ::smirks:: The Roads are more fun than those make it out to be, though definitely a place where you make sure to have a couple extra pursestrings as a precaution.
Charlotte picked up a different statue. It had an elongated cylindrical shape with a questionable looking mushroom on the top.
Brexis: Oh come on, ::rolling her eyes:: They aren’t even trying to be subtle with this one.
K’Wara: Interesting mushroom. I think that’s a miniature version of the giant shrooms in the Kellaping Marsh. They inspire a lot of artwork.
It didn’t take an expert to assume that not many people, including the one she just met, wanted a particularly phallic looking statue. She set it back down and diligently rubbed her hands on her uniform and made a mental note to sanitize thoroughly later.
Brexis: So, what brings you down here to this… ::eyeing a Ferengi store owner:: Eclectic side of town?
K’Wara: Out for some new decorations for my walls. Recently got some new ones; figured the best way to find some more unusual knick-knacks was to get away from the tourist traps.
Charlotte smirked at Tamio, thinking she had a fairly good sense that they weren’t interested in looking for anything ‘boring’.
Brexis: I’m guessing you are looking for black, muted, dark colors?
She tried to hold back a laugh, hoping to get a reaction out of them.
K’Wara: Absolutely not, I have standards. ::grin:: There needs to be at least a primary, secondary and tertiary color on it before I’ll consider it.
Brexis: Hah! Yes! That’s what I’m talkin’ about! ::Glancing down the road:: There has got to be something within those guidelines. ::Nodding her head to the side:: Let's go.
The two began walking along the street, peering in through windows hoping to see that pop of color Tamio was looking for.
K’Wara: Have you been on Feringinar before, or did you decide to jump in at the deep end on your first visit?
Brexis: This is my first time. ::Chuckling:: Jumping in the deep end is typically how I do everything. Whether that’s a help or a hindrance to me as a person– remains to be seen.
K’Wara: Response
There was a smaller storefront tucked back behind the others, something about it made her curious so she gestured towards it to have Tamio follow her.
She paused in front of the window.
Brexis: This looks promising– Oh My! Is that… GLITTER?!
With a beaming grin, she turned to Tamio.
K’Wara: Response
Brexis: Please tell me you like things that sparkle? ::Waving her hand around:: What am I saying, of course you do.
Charlotte made her way to the entrance of the store before turning around and gently pulling Tamio with her.
Brexis: Glitter! Glitter! Glitter!
K’Wara: Response
