Vitor had set up a huge kitchen for Nan and Sada to join him for a “cook off”.
He nodded to Nan’s reply and pointed to what looked like an oven, encrusted on the wall next to the eight nozzle stove.

Silveira: That’s the replicator we can use to get the ingredients. ::He smiled and winked at them.:: And so we won’t cheat, it isn't programmed to give us anything cooked. I searched the ship’s computer for Edo and Mizarian food. I hope I haven’t missed anything.

Jovenan: You don’t trust us not to cheat? ::mischievous smile:: Only the fresh and unprocessed ingredients, got it!

Sadar: Response

Nan went for the replicator, certainly looking at the available list. Vitor smiled and pointed at Sada.

Silveira: OK, so Sada is in charge of dessert, then what are we having before that. Two course meals of fish and meat for example? Maybe a salad and then either one of them? Tell me my Buddy Chefs?

Jovenan: Hmm… Well, um, I don’t have any meat or fish recipes, those aren’t a thing in my region. I could make something from vegetarian, either something lighter or more filling, depending on what you’d like.

Nan looked at her PADD.

Sadar: Response

Silveira: Don’t worry about me, I can … ::Suddenly he got an inspiration. Considering their location and Zie’s favorite dish he smiled, snapped his fingers and opened his arms in triumph:: I know what I am cooking. It’s been a while but I made this Hasperat that even the Captain approved.

Nan nodded approvingly.

Jovenan: Sounds amazing, I’ve actually never had hasperat before! They’re pretty spicy, aren’t they, so maybe I’ll make something lighter and cool.

Sadar: Response

Vitor grinned as he winked at them, raising his finger in a thumbs up.

Vitor quickly went to the replicator, ordering the necessary ingredients. He was aiming to cook the same sort of Hasperat he did back in Risa. Prepping the tortilha would need time, but the filling was easy to do.

He started setting things aside as he replicated them. Fruits, eggs, flour, beans, all the assorted ingredients needed. After a few minutes he stepped aside as Nan took over the replicator.
Spilling the flour, he reached for the eggs, getting a place in the counter that he could use to prepare the wrap for the Hasperat. As Sada and Nan began their work he reached for the beans and looked for a suitable pot to boil them.

The next second he had them on the stove as he began to separate the egg whites, so he could crumple the wrap dough.

Jovenan: ::to Sadar:: Have you relocated to new quarters yet? How’ve you liked it?

Sadar: Response

Vitor started extending the flour, just using his hands as he tipped his head, joining the conversation.

Silveira: I admit I prefer bigger quarters. I miss the Excalibur dearly, but I have a good amount of History with it. Compared to what I had before, mine are very Spartan now.

Slowly thinning down the dow, Vitor tempered it with Terran olive oil, and sparkled it with the Bajoran seeds that were part of the recipe.

Jovenan: I’m still in the process of furnishing my quarters, so don’t be too stressed about it. ::pause:: Hmm, I should probably have started with the dressing. Since it needs to be cooled down.

Sadar: Response

Vitor looked to the boiling beans and after stretching the dow again he reached for one of the towels, cleaning his hands and heading to the stove, picking up a pesarian. It was a sort of Risian peach, but less sweet. Actually it was a bit sour, much like lemon.
He began to peel it, tipping his head over the counter as he replied to Nan

Silveira: There’s a fridge there, it depends on how cool it needs to be.

Putting down the peel he began to tear up the pesarian and add it to the boiling beans, lowering the fire.

Jovenan: Vitor, could you give some advice. I’d need to get this vegetable into a paste. ::looks around, then to Silveira:: Which appliance should I use?

Vitor raised an eyebrow, and tipped his head to the left as he finished breaking the pesarian down.

Silveira: There’s a small blender there to your right.

He wiped his hands on the towel and put it over his shoulder, pointing to the small piece.

Silveira: That white thing, turn the top to the left and it opens up. ::He turned to Sada, raising his eyebrow inquisitively:: What are you doing?

Sadar: Response

Vitor grinned to Sada and then winked at both of them.

Silveira: I have to say it doesn’t look too pretty, but it's smelling nicely.

Sadar: Response

He returned to molding the down and when it got the acceptable consistency he reached out for a pan.

Silveira: See why I like a big kitchen. This way the three of us can work and not be on the other's way.

Sadar/Jovenan: Response

Filling the pan with an extra dose of butter he hurled it to the stove, lowering the fire from the mixture of beans and pesarian. Setting it in one of the nozzles he picked two wooden spoons and began melting the butter.

Silveira: Have any of you visited Bajor?

Sadar/Jovenan: Response

As they replied Vitor went for the dow that would become one of the wraps. Splitting his attention between them and the dish. Slowly spreading it on the pan he added the olive oil and let it fry for a couple of seconds, only to cook it slightly and give the perfect texture.

Silveira: Last time I was here… Damn… It was almost three years ago… Time flies…

Sadar/Jovenan: Response

The memories of that visit crossed his head. It felt like a lifetime ago. His expression turned more serious and not wanting to fall for that mood in this moment he began playing with the wooden spoons.
A smile crossed his lips when he recalled that puppet he had seen in old records.

oO What was it called… The French Chef? No… It was European… Oo

The thought of playing around with the spoons and then letting them fly over the kitchen crossed his mind. Sada would likely jump scared, and he was fairly certain that would be some offense even for Nan.

Tempted, he simply swung the spoons in his hands as his smile widened, when he finally recalled the name.

Silveira: You know, next time we have to see this Chef from Earth that I know. I have a feeling you are both going to like him. He’s Swedish.

Sadar/Jovenan: Response
