((CMO’s Office, Sickbay, USS Artemis-A))
Genkos was standing at his window, back to the door. He was supposedly studying the exterior of DS224, contemplating precisely how to talk to his mother. He’d sent her messages, but they hadn’t spoken in person or even over holo-vid for a while now, since before the Shintiverse crossover. He’d sent her a very detailed message of what to do if his doppelganger did show up, but hadn’t wanted to worry her too much.
That was what he was supposed to be doing, he’d even blocked out some time in his diary under “Think about Mother”.
However.
He was fastidiously digging at a microscopic bit of dirt under one of his fingernails - despite the beam out and several long and luxurious sonic showers, he still felt unclean. Perhaps it was sucking water out of a bug, perhaps it was sleeping in cave, perhaps it was the constant threat of radiation, but something wasn’t quite right on Planet Genkos.
He was interrupted however as the chime to his room went off, and he turned towards it. He turned quickly, and his left calf stabbed in pain and he felt slightly forward, catching himself with one hand on the heavy desk.
Adea: Enter.
The doors parted to reveal Gila Sadar, and he waved her in.
Adea: Lieutenant, good to see you. ::he gestured to a seat on the other side of the desk:: Take a seat, ::he then wafted his hand towards a tin on said desk:: have a biscuit. I’ll make us a pot of tea.
Sadar: Response
Genkos replicated a pot of a Ferengi root tea, something that was meant to be quite sweet but with just a bite of bitterness. A diminutive engineer had recommended it to him once, although he couldn’t remember the man’s name…
Anyway, he set it down in front of them both and left it to brew for a moment.
Adea: So, Gila, how are things?
Sadar: Response

"You know, I'm really easy to get along with most of the time, but I don't like bullies and I don't like threats, and I don't like you, Culluh. You can try and stop us from getting to the truth but I promise you that if you do I will respond with all the 'unique technologies' at my command." - Kathryn Janeway
