((CMO’s Office, Main Sickbay, Deck 7 - USS Artemis-A))
Genkos sat at his desk, his finger tracing a line across the screen of his PADD as he read the report on Chevalier’s recovery. The man had somehow blown his leg clean off as part of a… training exercise..? That couldn’t be right. But still, the good doctor sympathised, his own left leg being gone beneath the knee from a transporter accident. His thoughts were interrupted as an unfamiliar Vulcan appeared in his peripheral, and it took a moment for him to remember who it was - probably Salkath, the new engineering officer. He appeared in the CMO’s office door..
Salkath: Commander? Or do you prefer Doctor? May I bother you momentarily?
Adea: Either is fine, Commander Salkath.
The Vulcan held out his hand, which held a scanner. After a moment he held out his other hand, which held a PADD. A look of self-annoyance passed over Salkath’s face momentarily.
Salkath: Apologies. I have been multitasking. However, I'd like to formally transfer my medical files aboard as part of my commission to the Artemis.
Adea: Of course, let me have a look.
Genkos took the PADD, and briefly perused the data contained therein, before pressing the button to transfer it to the ship’s system.
Salkath: I trust everything there is in order and up to date?
Adea: Indeed it is, welcome aboard Commander Salkath. Anything I should know about that isn’t contained in here?
He wiggled the PADD in Salkath’s direction, and, as he could have predicted, up went the eyebrow.
Salkath: Compared to many others, my, ahem, misadventures prior to our arrival in the Bajor system were relatively uneventful. There are no concerns to note about my health since my last medical, physically or mentally.
Adea: That is good to know, thank you.
Salkath: Response
Genkos always found talking to Vulcans a little troublesome, as their lack of emotions (or lack of display of emotions) was completely alien to his own Betazed upbringing.
Adea: And you’re settling in okay, no problems finding your way around?
Salkath: Response

"You know, I'm really easy to get along with most of the time, but I don't like bullies and I don't like threats, and I don't like you, Culluh. You can try and stop us from getting to the truth but I promise you that if you do I will respond with all the 'unique technologies' at my command." - Kathryn Janeway
