(( Rooftop Gazebo - Ana Kersna, Rylor ))
His conversation with Tamio was going pretty well. It was nice to finally check up with one of the new faces in the crew. Vitor was a blabbermouth and always loved a good conversation.
And now they had a new addition in the form of Nat.
Silveira: And you're in pretty good company. So I suggest we all enjoy it.
Tamio finished his drink and gestured for another.
Cole: Oh, ha, ::to the server:: You're fast. Thank you.
K’Wara: ::enigmatic smirk:: Once or twice. It’s always a good time.
Vitor leaned forward and with a mischievous grin he winked at Tamio.
Silveira: Nat, maybe you are so kind as to solve a little… Diferendo. ::he gestured to his shirt.:: Tell me, isn’t Teal just another sort of Blue?
Cole: ::Sipping her drink:: I’m sorry? ::Raising an eyebrow::
He noticed Tamio hardly reacted to his little provocation.
Vitor opened his arms with a mocking smile.
Silveira: C’mon you're perfectly safe to be honest… Just remember who can let you take the Tactical station in the next ship battle…
K’Wara: You know, I’m starting to like this betting culture that’s starting to develop on the Artemis. Only a matter of time until someone wagers away their senior staff quarters.
Vitor arched a mischievous eyebrow and nodded at Tamio.
Cole: ::laughing:: Oh you're serious. ::thinking as a smirk appeared on her face:: Didn’t your girlfriend put me on Tactical on my first mission?
Vitor laughed and nodded, little did Nat know that Nan had taken the Tactical station long before they ever thought of being a couple.
Cole: I can bake from scratch, so I could offer up a tasty dessert.
Vitor leaned forward with a smile. Now that was something they had in common.
Silveira: Oh really? Well I have a very good reputation as a cook and I love to. We have to do that some of these days. ::he tipped his head joking at Tamio.:: I am certain you have an extremely stylish Chef’s hat and apron. Something tells me your wardrobe is big and takes a lot of room in your quarters. Right?
Tamio seemed to consider that for a few seconds.
K’Wara: Hmm... Not a lot. I came to the Artemis after staying at the Academy for 3 years, so most of my personal effects are in storage. Had to downsize quite a bit.
Cole: I only have a handful of personal items myself, that hold sentimental value.
Vitor nodded, his quarters on the Excalibur were comfortable and cluttered. On the Artemis they were a little more spartan.
Silveira: I totally understand, I served on a lot of different ships and except on the Excalibur I always kept things to a minimal.
K’Wara: I’ll build up a collection to wager away soon enough, though I doubt it’ll be as exciting as a turn at the Tactical Console.
Vitor wrinkled his forehead playfully at Tamio.
Cole: ::nodding:: that’s fair. Back to your question about Teal. ::looking at her glass:: I’d be remiss to not mention, my younger sibling is a bit of an Art Major. So against my will I might have learned a few things about color theory.
Vitor leaned back, letting not only Nat see his shirt better, but also listening attentively to her.
Cole: Teal is an interesting color because our perception of it varies on factors. Your shirt for example is more of a Deep Aqua, which is on the end more towards the blue end, and if I may brings out the Blue in your eyes. But the Teal on Crashcart… ::pauses to correct herself:: Our medical staff leans more towards the Green end of that spectrum.
Vitor arched an eyebrow, recognizing Doctor Roy Rogers nickname.
He nodded and shot a mischievous glance at Tamio, as if saying “she’s on my side”
Silveira: Go on.
K’Wara: Response
Cole: Juno is more versed in color theory, and could go on forever about it. I’m just happy to listen to them. I think they're planning on sending me a belated gift after receiving my own personal quarters.
Vitor grinned and opened his arms.
Silveira: Well, to me it was very helpful. Remember to thank your sister on my behalf.
K’Wara: Response
Cole: Honestly, I think Juno would be thrilled to know their years of unsolicited color education finally served a tactical purpose. ::small smile::
Vitor almost felt like bragging to Tamio that teal is blue. But instead he kept the conversation going
Silveira: I am certain of that, and how about you Tamio, any brothers or sisters?
K’Wara: Response
Vitor shrugged and opened his arms.
Silveira: Nope, as you might all have guessed I am an only child. But I do have a very close friend that feels like a brother. He’s the reason I took that LOA.
Vitor’s smile faded slightly.
K’Wara/Cole: Response
Vitor shook his head and gestured for a drink.
Silveira: Too sad of a story to be shared tonight. Let’s say it was a family matter and I felt compelled to go with him. Our grandparents knew each other and although he is slightly older we met as kids and spent some time together. Like I say, he is my brother from another family. But how about your families? ::He tipped his head in Nat’s direction:: You mentioned your sister so I want to know it all.
K’Wara/Cole: Response
Vitor smiled and picked up another drink as he leaned back. This one looked slightly better than the one he tried before.
Silveira: Well, my parents run a medium size trade company with it’s own ships. Paternal grandparents are retired on Earth and Maternal grandparents are retired on Risa. ::He winked as he leaned forward.:: Yes I grew up between Earth and Risa. You all know my significant other Nan… And only close ones missing are Thera and Jonathan. ::He smiled as he spoke their names.:: Thera and I had a relationship, back when we were in Ops.
Jonathan is our son.
K’Wara/Cole: Response
