As they were sharing the meal Vitor began to detail the story behind the Arcade. He smiled and leaned back as he chewed his food. He cleaned his lips with the napkin before speaking.
Silveira: It was a pet project, but I have to give a lot of credit to Imril. It started just with the Arcades, and I had an idea on the decor. I went there briefly and he did the most remarkable job. And even added the pinball machines that I had forgotten.
Richards: I have to know. Do you have Dance Dance Revolution?
Vitor narrowed his eyes as he tried to remember. There were a few of them, but admittedly he didn’t think there was one for dancing.
Silveira: I tried to find arcades for almost everyone, but admittedly I didn’t put any that required dancing. ::He leaned forward and set his fork in his dish:: Tell you what, we will go there once we finish and we set it up if it isn’t there. I am sure we can find some records of that arcade
Richards: Heck yeah! ::Pausing for a moment:: Although… I probably shouldn’t do too much dancing. Last time I did, it was… not pretty. ::Chuckling lightly:: Pregnancy and too much movement has proven to be… Projectile…
She grimaced a bit before taking a sip of her lemonade.
Vitor nodded and spoke as he picked another piece of fish and salad.
Silveira: My original thought was to have a program that everyone on the ship coud enjoy and relax to. I mean Nan loved the arcade I picked for her. The Captain loved her racing game… ::He raised his finger and leaned forward:: Oh and you know who beat all the records… Al. That little… Well somehow she skipped inside and crashed all my highscores. Her initials… Well.. ::he smiled and shook his head and hand:: Let’s say its still in the highscore table and there are a few I cant beat. ::He smiled, recalling their former comrade. He hoped she was happy in the Ronin.:: I miss Al from the Helm. I hope she is doing well.
Richards: She was quite the presence around here.
Vitor shrugged, they had managed to stir away from the hardest thoughts, the mission, missing friends, so he didn’t want them to delve too close to that.
Silveira: Anyway, if you also think of any other arcades we can easily place them.
Now how’s the food?
Richards: It was, ::pausing for dramatic effect:: It was really good. You were right.
Vitor smiled proudly. He had a feeling she was enjoying it, but truth be told not everyone liked the same things. It was well enough cooked, even if replicated.
Silveira: I am happy to hear that.
Richards: Now, next time we hang out, I expect you to be the one to cook for me. ::Raising her eyebrow:: Hopefully I won’t be pregnant anymore and you won’t have to tell me it has to be healthy.
Vitor arched his eyebrow. As he took another bite he raised his finger to Sam.
Silveira: One more reason to cook something healthy.
She held her hands up in surrender and laughed.
Richards: Think of it though, I can come over and bring the little ones for you to enjoy and I can enjoy your infamous cooking I keep hearing about. ::Smirking:: You can invite Jovenan too.
Vitor nodded, that could be a good plan.
Silveira: Why not. Although Nan already knows my skills, she is also a good cook.
How about you? Any dishes you cook well?
Maybe we can all cook something different?

Vitor took another bite of his dish as he heard Sam’s reply.
Silveira: Well the trick is having the replicator coded almost the same way as you have cooked it. The only real difference is that when cooking you never get that exact dose the program does.

Vitor shrugged and leaned forward.
Silveira: My dear friend, the secret is that. I know the measurements, but most of the time I just go with the feeling. Like… A spoon of salt. One time might be more, the other time less, it depends on who I am cooking for. Also as with all things. Heart. Always cook with heart.
