Genkos smiled in a reassuring way. Solas had seemed somewhat to be in a hurry to leave his appointment, and the good doctor had called him out on it.

Adea: Not at all, Ensign. I am used to people not wanting to be here, hells, I’m used to chasing down certain officers to force them to do their checkouts. I’ve rarely encountered someone desperate for an appointment, but who wants the appointment to fly by…

Solas’ eyes widened, which made Genkos realise that perhaps he was incorrect in his assumption.

Kel: N-no sir. Well I mean, I would like to confirm I’m fit to return to duty in a speedy efficient manner. B-but that’s only cause I don’t want you to find anything wrong. The idea of being stuck in bed is just….

Solas trailed off, but Genkos nodded appreciatively.

Adea: I understand - getting a little stir crazy are we Ensign?

Kel: I mean it sir. I just….I just wanna know I can do something productive. I don’t plan on overworking myself, I just can’t sit still right now. Um…sir.

Adea: Understandable - I can see why you might feel that way. Let me finish my scans and we can see what we can do.

Solas took a deep breath as Genkos finished his scans. 

Kel: I’m just hoping I can be cleared for something simple, sir. Like working a shift at the security centre or doing maintenance on the phase rifles again. Or even just doing a patrol on the ship. 

Adea: Well, judging by these scans, I can absolutely give you a clean bill of physical health.

Kel: Response

Adea: But I want to see that you’ve made an appointment to see Jashkaa by the end of today. I notice she’s quite busy, but she should have some free time at the end of the week.
