((Jefferies Tube- Deck 13 - USS Artemis))

She unleashed the kick - more of a sideways stomp really - with full Vulcan force and cracked the Gorn changeling right in the nose. It flew off Vitor’s arm and hit the wall, stunned for a brief moment.

Silveira: Damn girl, you kick like a striker.

She wasn’t entirely sure what a striker was other than someone that struck something, which she supposed she was in this instance. She sat up, drew her phaser and leaned across Vitor, firing it with little room to miss for somewhat longer than necessary before letting up and cautiously waiting for it to move. It didn’t.

T’Ama: I think it’s down.

She didn’t lower her weapon, though. She was very keyed up still and not entirely sure how you went about securing a changeling.

Silveira: Where did you learn to do that?

T’Ama: ::shrugging:: It seemed logical. I’ve booped a Gorn before. He didn’t like it much. Course that was a real one.

Anyway, where did anyone learn to kick? In the womb. She missed his flabbergasted look due to his face occupying her blind spot.

Silveira: You have to tell me that when we have a chance. ::He looked at the down Changeling, still shaped like a Gorn.:: Aren’t they supposed to melt when they are down?

T’Ama: I don’t know, maybe not? Maybe they don’t need to concentrate to keep a form?

Vitor gingerly nudged the “Gorn” with his foot, and finding it didn’t react and attempt to kill him again, grabbed it.

Silveira: Keep covering me, let’s get him out.

T’Ama: To where? Can the brig even hold a liquid?

Silveira: Well, I am not leaving him here, obviously.

T’Ama: ::snorting:: You’re lucky he didn’t liquify or we’d never get him out of the grate.

He just shrugged and started dragging the Gorn shaped Changeling out and down to deck 14.  She kept her type 2 phaser trained on it and followed. She thought about offering to do the dragging - she was, after all, stronger than human males - but if he wanted to show off then by all means, she’d let him.

((Main Engineering, Upper Section - Deck 14 - USS Artemis))

They arrived in what appeared to be the upper section of Main Engineering, Vitor dragging the Gorn body and T’Ama following him, phaser out and watching for any sign that it was waking up. The night shift officers stared at them. Vitor tried to wave them off.

Silveira: Carry on, nothing to see here. Someone get me a big container. ::He pointed to the Gorn:: He’s a changeling and we have to drop him somewhere.

T’Ama: ::muttering:: Hopefully none of them are changelings too.

She spared a glance towards her Paired Duty Assignment and noticed him wincing as he rubbed his arm, and the red blood humans bled on the fabric of his uniform. She wondered if a Changeling-turned-Gorn could lay eggs in people like actual Gorn could.

An engineer returned and handed Vitor a reusable food container that strongly resembled the sort of thing Beck’s mom would send him at the Academy filled with homemade cookies. He called it tupperware and was always obliged to save and return it to his mother. She suspected this was a ploy by her to get him to visit home.

Silveira: Do you think it will fit?

She raised her eyebrow this time, just so he would know that this question was officially the most egregiously stupid thing he’d ever said. The Gorn was the size of a large dog, on the same size scale as a humanoid, and the tupperware container was no bigger than a large mixing bowl. Which is to say, comically small.

T’Ama: Let’s see.

She grabbed the tupperware and placed it upside down on the Gorn-Changeling. It only covered the head. She turned back to him.

T’Ama: No. I don’t believe it will.

Silveira: response

She sighed with absolute disgust.

T’Ama: Fine. You cover me now.

Silveira: response

She waited for him to get his phase out before she holstered hers. She took the tupperware off the Gorn-Changeling’s head and set it on the floor.

T’Ama: Maybe we can just… blend him up.

Silveira: response

She scoffed again and finally grabbed the Gorn-Changeling, though he didn’t feel exactly how she expected him to.

T’Ama: Oh… he’s… kinda squishy.

She squished an arm to demonstrate for Silveira. It compressed way too much and then snapped back into shape with a wobble.

Silveira: response

She hefted its body, which bobbed around floppily in a disconcerting way, and started to stuff it head first into the tupperware.

T’Ama: We need to get this guy in here before he totally liquifies. He might actually fit that way.

Silveira: response

She glared at Vitor with her one eye, and continued mashing down on the changeling who only vaguely still resembled a Gorn in a grotesque sort of way. She reached out a hand.

T’Ama: Hand me the lid. And get some duct tape or something so we can seal it.

Silveira: response
