[Begin Mini Mission] Luxa Lorana - A Medical Marvel

It was strange to Luxa how one could reacquaint herself so quickly. It was as if time itself had been folded together neatly, almost as if the years that she had spent away from the Artemis had never happened at all. Yet, they had and she was no longer the same felinoid that walked these decks.
She had been transformed. Not unlike the individuals on the bio beds within the Artemis' ICU were undergoing. The skin beneath her fur began to itch as she looked towards the crew members.
Ava Munro, they had served together on the Ronin. She was Chief of Operations when Luxa was forced to leave after the incident. She was currently unconscious on a biobed and selfishly Luxa was glad. Not because she enjoyed seeing the commander in such a state. No, it was because she was a witness to Luxa's own despair. The moment her life had changed forever.
The commanders hands and arms had become calloused and malformed. Luxa moved towards one of the medical staff that appeared to be tending to the injured.
Lorana: Lieutenant?
Meyers: Response
Luxa looked to the PADD she held and passed it to the woman.
Lorana: No need to declare an intruder alert. I think you'll find my paddwork all above board. I'm Luxa Lorana, I've been asked to offer some consultation :: looks to the patients :: Are these the worst affected?
Her felinoid eyes passed over the human female, and moved along to the others. She recognised them from the file.
Imril, a Bactrican individual. Bergmen, a Gideon individual. The others must be in some other location.

Lorana: The genetic abnormalities seem to be progressing at an aggressive rate.
Her face brightened when she saw the two doctors enter, emerging from a side office.
Lorana: Doctor Jaran :: nods :: and Doctor Bancroft, it's nice to meet you again.
Luxa didn't feel it appropriate to mention that she glad and shocked to see the young doctor. She had been in command of his cadet cruise, and she recalled his doubts … the only cadet that she had that almost left a simulation… to sit on a rock.
Jaran/Bancroft: Response
Lorana: The Captain asked me to assist. For the last year I've been developing treatment for rare genetic disorders or abnormalities brought on by exposure to high levels of radiation. Which has had a certain degree of success. We were hoping that the treatment may be adapted for use with these patients :: pause :: Doctor Jaran? I was under the impression that you'd be on one of the biobeds yourself?

((OOC: this is the beginning of the mini mission. It is very loose and the treatment that Luxa refers to can be expanded on by others. It was used to treat herself due to repeated exposure to Sencha Wave radiation and then a combination of Soliton particles created a rare genetic disorder. The treatment can be applied here with obvious adaptations.
