(( Captain’s Ready Room – Deck 1, USS Artemis-A ))
Vailani: That means yourself Captain, can host Major Oolwi and General Kexxin. Ensign Cole on guard and Richards can assist you.
MacKenzie: Responses
The tactical chief nodded with his approval. Zoyara had spent some time with Lieutenant Silveira on the lengthy shuttle journey to Laoi, and whilst she found him personally irritating she had no reasons to fault his professionalism or work integrity.
Sadar: Th-The signal originated from off-world, but it’s not very strong. I-It’s likely that it originates from somewhere in the system... W-We may, uhh... W-We may need to move the Artemis to pursue it, b-but with alien government personnel aboard, I, uhh... I-I’m not sure how that would be received?
Silveira: Depends. That’s something that the Captain will have to deal with when the time comes.
Vailani: With permission we could take a runabout if we have too. There's no indication that the outside influence is likely to be dangerous? We could start with Gila’s prisoners, they might be able to tell us more about the signal? I mean, if that's okay with you, sir?
MacKenzie: Responses
Sadar: Understood Sir.
Then the Tactical chiefs perhaps finding the meeting was drawing to a close took to his feet. He smiled at herself and Gila, she most certainly did not return a smile, instead she inhaled a frustrated breath between her teeth.
Silveira: Last time we teamed up it was a bit… Easier. ::He nodded to Zie:: Good luck with the negotiations Captain. I recommend a small meal with their favorite food to each delegation. And water.
Vailani: Captain, I'd recommend you appeal to Kexxin’s sense of honour, it seemed important to him. For what it's worth, I think he wants to help and on the ship - away from prying eyes and ears - he might feel more forthcoming.
MacKenzie/Sadar: Responses
She took to her feet herself, and as was her way she exited with a confident stride. Followed by Gila and Lt. Silveira.
((USS Artemis-A, deck 1, Bridge))
Lt. Silveira paused and was the first to speak. Which was one of his annoying traits - talking too much.

Silveira: I know you have been through a lot, but the Grunden also attacked civilians when they hit the Capital. The terror spilled both ways.
Her eyes widened and she crossed her arms.
Vailani: We just witnessed a massacre, I can't hardly blame the Grunden for punching back.
Again, she couldn't help but relate to the Grunden's struggles. While she never experienced the Cardassians occupation, her father had been a member of the resistance in his youth and Bajorans held their troubled past closely. They would never forget. Neither would she, and she wouldn't criticise them for defending themselves when she wouldn't criticise the Bajoran resistance for their efforts.
Sadar: Response
Silveira: Just reminding you Zoy that things aren’t always that clear. Grey is the prominent colour in the Universe. But we have work to do, what’s next?
Vailani: I find blood red spilled on the streets where children played moments before is quite informative, Lieutenant Silveira.
She shook her head, it would do no good to argue amongst themselves.
Vailani: I'm sorry… It was a difficult day :: more to Gila :: I guess it affected me more than I thought.
Sadar/Silveira: Responses
Vailani: Any recommendations on how we approach these prisoners?
Sadar/Silveira: Responses
She nodded as her colleagues conferred.
Vailani: Okay :: taps combadge :: =/\= Mister Bergmen can you meet us in Sickbay =/\=
