PNPC Crewman Jozial Renirs – I'm still here

Who knew getting in middle of a pirate attack could be so booooring.
After the three officers had left for their brave mission to die like fools, Jozial had had little to do but to float on a single spot. She had been cleaning her nails with the sharp edge of a tool and making frustrated noises most of the time since that. She could try to fix the CMO’s console the officers had used as a communication amplifier, but that sounded awfully lot like work, and nobody had told her to do so. There was nobody to chat with either. Nurses? Meh. The puppet monster? Na-ah.
Well, there was the Andorian sharpshooter.
Jozial tried to get a stealthy peek of her every now and then. The security officer was keeping guard of the hatch and the sickbay in general. She looked so sharp and attentive, never seeming to waver from the duty. Jozial wondered what she was thinking about. The girl who had been too nervous to talk to her? Not likely. The psycho that had beaten up her boss with a wrench? Yup, that’s it. She must hate her for that, for being what she is.
She realised she had been staring at her for way too long and turned quickly away. Why is she acting like this, she didn’t even know her name!
Then, a noise. All their heads moved to see where it was coming from. Another person was trying to get down a hatch into the sickbay. Jozial grinned widely. Booyeah, time to mow down some bad guys! She lifted her hyperspanner, the only weapon she was trusted with. The Andorian cutie had been given a phaser, real one this time, but Jozial didn’t want to give her steal all the fun from her.
The security lock on the hatch was meant to stop any attacker, but unexpectedly, the green light signifying the lock went red. The locking mechanism hissed as it released its grip of the hatch. They were ready to beat down whoever dared to enter. The hatch opened and the first creepy crawler crept in.
It was a red-haired woman. Jozial lowered the hyperspanner confused. She didn’t recognize many of the officers onboard, but this one she knew. That grandma from the tube was the Cap’n. Should she beat her up just in case? Do people usually do that to the ship captains?
Following the Cap’n were a purple person with a hoodie, an enormous Trill man, and a pretty but nerdy-looking woman. Not her type. Confused and a bit disappointed, Jozial shrugged and backed away. More officers. Yay…
The new officers went to talk with the puppet monster, clearly lacking any taste with their company. They soon floated to an interface, and Jozial’s interest in them was diminishing. Officers talking some boring stuff and using computers and talking some more. Wow, that’s like, what they normally do. Then, the puppet monster turned and pointed at her and the Andorian sharpshooter. The officers turned to look at them. The darned thing had ratted them out!
Jovenan: Thank you, Doctor!
The officers got closer, led by the Cap’n. Jozial greeted her with an upwards nod.
MacKenzie: Did Commander Dakora say where they were headed?
Not even saying hello. A bit rude.
Renirs: Yup. We were with them, grandpa Dakora, baby-fighter Osuna and Doc Jones. That lady over there ::points at Vailani:: came through this chute all bruised up, so they went down the same way to get beaten up as well.
Kliss’lai: Response?
The Cap’n nodded and… just turned away and left. Wow. She do be rude.
MacKenzie: Doctor, Lieutenant… We need a better solution than Purge and ::sideyes the muppet:: I don’t trust our EMH to be very helpful right now.
We’re okay, thank you for asking. Yes, we could help you take out the baddies, thank you for asking. I’d take a double raktajino, thank you so, so much! She shrugged, uninterested of all and any conversation taking place, made half a backflip and pushed the wall with her legs, floating to a corner to lean against.
